Ok, NOT doing Jenny Craig anymore… my body/metabolism has changed too much. I can’t live on 1200 calories, especially when the protein/carb/fat ratio is 20/60/20… !! I quit that as of Feb 1.
more later. if I feel like telling anyone…

Ok, weight is good. Doing Jenny Craig again. Weigh in tomorrow. My legs and back are kiling me, excellent bowflex workout yesterday. My arms - don’t hurt too much, but they are letting me know they are there. A pair of shorts I haven’t worn since August/September fit me! So I know my butt is shrinking in the right areas.
Walking every night for 25 mins, with Dave. Getting enough sleep. Things are good.

I really do. I never thought about it much, but I do. Except for things that you are praying about, like DAVE GOT TRANSFERRED HOME so he doesn’t have to leave me every other week! YAY! That change is good, but all other kinds of change… ARGH.
So now I’ve had to rearrange EVERYTHING. This is my new schedule, until further notice. haha. I’ve changed my diet to be around 1200 - 1300 calories, still pushing protein at every meal. Still fighting with getting in enough water, but some days it’s easier than others. Cardio every day. I’m doing my Cardio Kickbox DVD in the mornings. Dave gets up at 6 am now, so it’s easier to not skip this since he’s not in bed, tempting me to stay
I’m still trying to fit in horse training, and since it’s pitch black dark at 7:30, that’s getting difficult. So until the time change, that is my priority as far as horse vs weights. After that, I’ll re-evaluate my time schedule and see where I can fit in the weights that will work best.
I have only gained about 2-3 lbs since not working out regularly (since I hurt my leg). And it’s not HUGE, my jeans are just a tad more snug around my waist, not terribly uncomfortable. But I feel like my butt is huge and my thighs have lost their tone. Not to mention my upper arms. BLAH.
I’ve gotten my eating back under control, so we’ll see how things progress. More later…
Hope everyone is doing well!!! I’ve been AWOL I know, sorry.

WELL!! Nothing like a good Hurricane to scare the crap outta you… I was leaving way before Ike was supposed to show up, and was to be back well after Ike would have blown through, but I had my oldest daughter to worry about… should I go? Should I stay??? ACK. She told me to go because I wanted to do this for such a long time… but I was afraid when Ike hit she would have been really scared, and then she would have yelled "HOW COULD YOU HAVE LEFT ME!!!!???" I had two back up plans for her, one for evacuation and one for staying, and although I wasn’t totally at peace with the storm, I felt it was ok to go to CA. THANK GOD for favor and answering prayers!!
We didn’t get hit with anything more than 50 mph winds, and then on Sunday a soaking rain. My daughter was safe and sound and snug. We didn’t even lose power. Not so for Houston… Thank you Melanie for your offer - that was SWEET!!! My horse was ok too. Was imagining coming home and finding her impaled with something… but she was happy to see me, and mud-caked.
NOW. For CA - wow, the weather was great! I was actually COLD and had to buy a sweatshirt!! LOL! For the first 3 days, waiting for Ike to land, it was stressful for me, but after I knew everyone was safe, it was very relaxed. I got ZERO pictures of me I took WAY too many pictures of the mountains, and took pictures of Dave and his kids.
I ate as best as I could, and I managed to maintain my weight! HUH. I feel flabby, though, and I’m ready to get back into the groove with my workouts!!
I didn’t even get to meet Dave’s friend (a guy) who he bragged to that he was bringing his "hot young lady" - we didn’t have time. But I did meet the ex - - she was very nice to me. She didn’t seem jealous one bit, but I know she noticed I had shorts on… lol And she had one of her (girl) friends with her one day, and I *KNOW* SHE saw me!! The kids liked me, and we all had a blast, so I’m sure she (the ex) won’t forget me anytime soon. Oh, and supposedly she has joined a gym and has been working out - but Dave said he saw no difference in her at all.
My warehouse has power, but the corp office doesn’t, and they haven’t been to work in a week, so I don’t have internet at work… I will try to post regularly again, and I want to join in JuloftheNile’s challenge this time - - keep writing to me, and thanks for all the comments and messages while I was gone!!! You guys are so great!!!! BIG HUG!!!Oh, and Steph - don’t worry

Hi - I thought I’d better write a quick post since I’ve been MIA for a little while…
I’ve been working 2 days a week in our Houston office, and it’s sapping me. Well, the drive is. 90 miles one way I’m pretty much ready for bed by 8 or 8:30 on those nights! But the good part about it is that I am taking my own food, drinking plenty of water, and not cheating while I’m there!!
My charlie horse… I may have been mistaken about that, since all I’ve read says they are in your quads - this is in my calf. Well, it’s been a week and two days, and although I can walk (but stiff-legged in my bare feet), blood has pooled around my ankle and I have swelling on my shin, my lower leg, my ankle, and now my foot. So I went to the doctor today.
She took an X-ray to make sure I didn’t have any cracks, and she poked and prodded as doctors do. Good news - I’m going to live lol, and I won’t lose my leg. HAHA. She said it looks like a big muscle tear in my gastro– something (my calf) and probably I tore a blood vessel too, and the cramp created a pocket where all the blood stayed. As my muscle is relaxing, the blood is coming out, hence the swelling and totally ugly and scary looking ankle. She said as long as I keep getting better, I shouldn’t worry about anything.
I haven’t done any leg exercises, although I feel like I WANT to, and she said go ahead, if I have swelling use ice, and if I feel worse, stop.
California is September 10 - next week!!! I am VERY excited! I feel good about the way I fit in my clothes, so I’m not going to worry about THAT. We are going to a wild animal park somewhere, probably on Saturday, and that will involve lots of walking. But I’ve also been warned about all the restaurants we will be visiting, too Lets hope I still fit good in my clothes when I come home!! haha!
I plan on trying the ‘baby got back’ contest when I come home, if it’s going to go round two. I’m looking forward to my trip, and also progressing to the next level of my workouts!!
I’ll see if I can post pictures when I get back - have to get them "approved" first, though. I’ll probably write more before I leave, but just in case, now you all know what’s going on!!!
Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, besides the CW Benefits, the other health benefits are definitely showing themselves - I checked my BP this afternoon at Wal-Mart. 116/58, pulse 79. WOO-HOO! And I feel pretty pumped, energy-wise, today, so I’m sure I’ll get my workout in tonite. And hopefully I will get up in the morning (before I drive to Houston YUK) and get another one in.
The only good thing about going to Houston is having the people who haven’t seen me since November ask me "did you lose weight since we saw you last??"
Yee Haw.

Well, this feels like the week that wasn’t. I had to work in Houston all week, and that is a 90 mile one way trip for me. I had to come home each night because of family things, so I was pretty beat each evening when I got home. I got up Monday and did my workout, and that was the last one I did
I did however, take my food, snacks and a big cup for water, and NO money so I couldn’t cheat!! I did really well. My weight has stayed the same.
I think I’m going to trim the weight days down and vamp the cardio up for this week, just to see what happens. I only have to go to Houston now 2 days a week, Mondays and Wednesdays, so I shouldn’t be so exhausted.
My poor horsie thought I abandoned her - I didn’t get to work with her all week, either. Finally Thursday I spent some "quality time" with her and gave her a good grooming. She really seemed to enjoy that. Poor baby!! Friday I hung out a little bit too. And Saturday morning. I didn’t ask too much from her, it was kinda hot, but she always likes the attention. And the snacks. haha
Here is a picture we took tonite. (PS: I think my legs are looking better!! woo-hoo!)

Have a great week everyone!!

Well, Dave has put more pressure on me for our trip to CA. He wants to stay on base so it doesn’t cost so much, and he was asking what he needed to do to get me the "A-OK" to stay with him. He was emailing one of his Air Force buds, and mentioned he was bringing a "young, hot lady" with him… (Dave is only 2 years older than I am, and I do not think I am "hot", but anyway… ). So now I have even MORE pressure to look as good as I possibly can!!! But its good for me, right?!!! LOL! This trip is gonna be so much fun!! Only 2 weeks and 5 more days…

Aug 10 - Aug 16
Sunday cardio was working Cricket in the round pen. Diet ok, had a bison bac/chbgr at Ruby Tuesdays.
Monday Gazelle 20 mins LBS 8 PM. Diet excellent
Tuesday (my weight was 157.4 ! not sure if that was correct though). Arms workout 5:30 AM Diet excellent. Had some yogurt cranberries. LBS Gazelle 20 mins at 8:30 PM
Wednesday Legs workout 5:30 AM diet ok, water ok, Los Cucos for dinner.
Thursday Absculpt at 5:30 AM LBS Gazelle 20 mins 5:30 PM diet good, water good. “CW Moment”
Friday Arms and Chest/Shoulders workout 5:00 AM Upped reps and weight on a few exercises. Diet excellent, water ok
Saturday rest day diet eh… water poor. Ate some raspberry dark chocolate Hershey’s kisses.
I have no idea what my weight was this morning ! I forgot to weigh myself!! I figure it is around 159.xx Every day this week I had to fight with myself to get up. But I did it.
Strength training: 4 days out of 6 (but I didn’t “miss” any workouts, got them in just not in my scheduled time)
Cardio: 3 days
Ate clean: 6 days out of 7, had 2 small cheat meals during the week, plus the candy on Saturday.
I feel so good! Working out every day makes me feel great. My clothes are fitting me so much better, and I feel good about the way I look, even if it’s not where I eventually want to be. I went school clothes shopping with Erin on Saturday and actually enjoyed trying on some things - can’t tell you the last time that happened. I even bought some skimpy sexy shorts!! I’ll only wear them to bed, but I feel comfortable wearing them, and the only reason I bought them was to turn Dave on, and it’s working Even if I don’t lose much weight, I feel really good about how I look. And just because it’s only 3 weeks and 3 days till we go to CA, I’m not stressing about anything, because I feel absolutely wonderful.
