After Week 2

Well its alittle more than a week since last post, but progress continues. I seem to have balanced around 185lbs. I have started running alittle bit more…going from 2 times a week to 3-4 times. Also this past week i finally decided that my dumb bells werent enough and needed something else. So i went and bought a curl-bar and 50 more lbs in plates to add the needed resistance for my gains in strength. I especially love the ability to be at home and slap some weight on the bar and do some skull crushers.

I am still doing circuit training…3 days a week. So that hasnt changed. There might be a day here and there that i will grab the bar and do some curls or shoulder presses, to help with some of the stress of the work day, but nothing that is full blown work out. I did get some pictures taken too this past saturday, and i will try to get them posted later today. 

Today after work, i will be doing my circuit workout and then running.

My workout consists of Pushups, Chair Dips, Wide and close grip pull ups, Upright Rows, Military Press, Crunches, Flutter Kicks, Dumb bell curls, Barbell curl, Hammer curls, Skull Crushers, Standing Tricep Extensions, Bent over rows, and Shrugs. And then i run 1.5 to 3.5 miles.

I will normally do 3 sets of each, but i do them in cycles, never doing all 3 sets together. So i am going from one exercise straight into another after a few sec of rest. Well this is it for now…till next time.

After Week 1

Well so far so good i reckon. I am on a day of rest today. Last night i completed yet another circuit training day. I kinda switched from the program i was going to do, but i will probably start going to more of an isolated program after week 2 is done.

 Sorry i havent taken any pictures yet…and the ones i have up are old…i think i am in worst shape now then back then. As soon as i find my camera i will get some taken though. According to my wife and friends…my upper body has already made some visible changes. I of course can not tell much on myself…yet. I do know that my strength is returning slowly. For example when i started working out again, i could do maybe 5 pullups at one time…and now i am doing 10-12 pullups at a time(1 set) for various grips.

Right now my workouts are not really mapped…i know i know…not a good thing…but i am working each body part depending how i feel at the time…if my back feels like it still needs to rest then i move to doing chest workouts and then to abs…and then to back….i kinda circulate that with my whole body…constantly doing sets of something with about 30 secs of rest…enough to walk my hall and take a drink of water.

 Right now as far as supplements go, i am taking the following:

Amino Fuel by TwinLab, Intravol by MuscleTech, and Syntha 6 by BSN.

Of course i am also taking a multi-vitamin, B-complex as well. Just something that really worked for me as a base in the past.

The first few workouts were kind of a drag…it was harder getting into them with all that is going on in life, but now i am pretty much in the zone of looking forward to my next workout and if anything trying to find things to do till then…lol. My diet is pretty much clean…i dont eat out and if i do i review everything on menu and still substitute some foods. Right now i have droped down to 185 from 195 pounds. I am still thinking that i probably need to get closer to 175. I may start today…not sure yet…but definitely next week i will be starting to run some and walk more.

I am eating through out the day, but which is also seems to be the hardest part. I am constantly wanting to eat till i am full…lol…but each time i eat now…it really is not taking much for me to reach a point that is enough. And i just keep thinking i will finish that meal in a few hours. Today i am gonna start cooking in bulk and placing at least my meats in containers to store. Other small things i can make as i go.

 Well not much more to really update on i dont believe but if i think of something i will post it.
