Is it me or have women’s workout clothes gotten very very hot lately, like the last year or so…or am I just really noticing it more. It is very distracting, but a good distracting. Sorry if this offends anyone but I just left the gym and nearly fell of the treadmill twice…it’s a legitimate safety concern! Haven’t done it yet, but I’m sure bouncing off a treadmill hurts.

Well, I made it through the day without the part time gym folks getting in the way too much. I did get to witness someone slide right off a swiss ball, which is never a bad thing to see…as long as they are okay though. It can be dangerous in the sense that if I had been on the treadmill I would have fallen off of it laughing. Speaking of treadmills–what’s up with folks setting it way to high for their ability level and holding on to the instrument panel for dear life. Does that help, and by help I mean provide any benifit other then someone thinking they can run a 5 minute mile or burned 700 cals when actually they should be doing a ten minute unassited mile. Okay, as you can tell people have been on the nerves today…at least their putting in some effort; see I can be positive.
On a different note, I switched up pre-workout supplements since N.O. Explode was starting to make me a little ill from time to time. I had tried SuperPump 250 and it was okay, just hard to mix. Also tried Fast Twitch…if you can stand the taste you are a better person then I, and I never thought I say that about a Cytosport product. Finally I made my way to MRI’s Black Powder and I actually like it better then N.O. Explode. It tastes good, at least the blue raspberry does. It gives a good bit of energy and provides good pumps and it seems to keep up longer then the other pre-workouts I’ve tried. Everything seems to work a litttle different for everyone, but if you’re looking for something different I would give it a try.

So, it’s been one of those weeks at the gym…we all have ‘em, but I’ve been feeling very weak since January and it’s driving me crazy. Typically Irun for about 4 miles (35 min) each morning, M-F. then lift in the evenings a bout 5 days a week for about one hour. I thought I may be overdoing it since I increased my run intensity training for some upcoming events. Not going to win, but I won’t be last either…anyway. I started taking some extra days off through the weeks and cutting back on the run a bit hoping this would help…nope, feel like I am still getting weaker…while Charlie grows stronger in the jungle. Seriously it is getting frustarting.
I have made no changes in diet or supplements of any kind. The only new issue since January is some treatement for post traumatic stress and things like that. I have been taking medication to sleep at night, so now I get at least 5 hours instead of what I had been getting, which was about 5 hours a week.
From what I have noticed I have problems with the major muscle movements, squats, deadlift and bench. I seem to be more rested but is this a case of being to rested, if there is such a thing? It just doesn’t seem to make sense to me…
