change of plans

wanted to do some cardio this morning, but felt pretty off so i skipped the session.  gonna just eat a little cleaner to make up for it.  tomorrow is leg day, should be fun.  trying to get my leg press up.

workout for the day

upper body today.  did some flat db bench, db shoulder press, and skull crushers.  also did some close grip pulldowns and some bent over rows.  working the bent over rows into the rotation since i feel as though they would help me a little more than rack deads.  hope it works.  did a pretty intense 10 minutes of elliptical.  tomorrow is cardio in the morning.

biceps and legs

pretty hard day today since i was switching from the hsorter workouts to the longer ones.  got some good weight on biceps by upping the weight for straight db curls and the reps on the hammer curls.  the legs went well, wish that the leg press would work, had to use the machine version of it and its just not the same.  hammered out some squats as well, got a pr with 275 deep ones for 9 and then followed by a widowmaker at 205.  pretty hard and the legs are starting to feel the effects of it now.  tomorrow is a cardio day, nothing real fancy, probably gonna hit the elliptical since i’ve been doing bike for a while, i guess it all depends on how the legs and lower back feel tomorrow.

no class until late this afternoon so i just did a little bit of stationary biking today.  nothing major, pretty sore from yesterday, especially from deadlifts.  that’s all for now, tomorrow will be another cardio day, won’t be too intense since i’m doing some squats and other leg stuff on friday, don’t want a cardio session to lighten the beating that my legs can take

the day so far

nothing much to report today.  did 23 minutes of elliptical cardio and burned about 180.  didn’t try to burn on it, just set a nice slow, steady pace.  got some good meals in and did some cooking for the week.  that’s about it, chicken, tilapia, eggs and potatoes, maybe rice this week as well.  hope the bulking stays good and that i can keep gaining.  tomorrow is workout day.  changing back to a 3 day workout.  tomorrow is chest, shoulders, tris, back width and thickness.

leg day

today’s leg workout was a little more different since the leg press machine was broken.  did some machine calf presses and the hamstring presses and finished out with squats.  the 20 repper was really difficult.  finished off with 10 minutes of cardio on a stationary bike.  its cold here, don’t know if i’ll go outside to do cardio tomorrow.

just doing some cardio today, probably some ellipticalling or some bicycling.  nothing major.  cold as hell today, -9 is unacceptable.  that’s all for now, trying to get some good bulking meals in.

upper body workout

did some incline bb press, military press and some close grip bench today.  tried to move some good weight and got more reps on all the weights.  worked the shoulders especially hard since i feel as though they were lagging a little bit.  did 16 min of elliptical after i was done and took some animal nitro to help the recovery process begin as soon as possible.  overall, a good workout.  planning to do no weights, only cardio tomorrow.  its cold though, yuck.

a return to wisconsin

flew back the other day from hawaii.  little jet lagged for my workout today.  did some alternating dumbbell and hammer curls along with some pulldowns and some deads.  overall good weights on all of them except for deadlift.  the grip just didn’t feel right.  i was good with the  bottom of the deadlift, but the grip started slipping alot.  don’t know what it was, i think it might be because i’m a little more tired and worn down than usual due to the long overnight flight.  that’s all for now, incline bb press, military press and close grip bench is on tap for tomorrow.  hoping to push some good weight.

good eating today, not too much in terms of working out.  that’s about all.  might check out the gym tomorrow, planning to do some bjj tomorrow night though.
