umm…..my blog

workout today was good, did some upper body.  it was the third workout day in a row so the workout was a little tougher since the muscles were a little tired and worn down.  overall, the pump and weights lifted were good.  tired after it since all the weights went up and i was trying to push myself to the limits plus i came in a little worn down.

chest is sore today from yesterday workout as are other parts of the upper body.  did some machine preacher curls, reverse ez bar curls, seated calfs, sumo deads and front squats.  good stretch in all the muscles.  got a nice pump in the bis.  that’s all for now.  hw is calling/ordering me to pay attention to it.

upper body workout

boy, did it feel good to get back to lifting again.  cardio is ok, but its nothing like playing with heavy stuff.  did some incline dumbbell, machine shoulders, rope pushdowns, behind the neck pulldowns and dumbbell bent over rows.  solid weight.  all the lifts went up.  tomorrow will be leg and bis.  the pump from today is really solid, esp. in the back.  that’s a little rare for me.  did a little cardio (5 min) after the workout to get the blood flowing and to take out the lactic acid from the workout.  that’s all for now.

just cardio today, a hard 16 min on the elliptical.  weight is slowly coming off from the thanksgiving extravaganza.  tomorrow is time to play with the metal, exciting stuff.  that’s all for now, ate fish, potatoes, yogurt, protein shakes, oatmeal today.  overall, real clean, getting harder though since i see yummy food around the apartment like peanut butter cups and mom-made cookies.

have a test tomorrow so 10-15 min on the elliptical is the cardio for the day.  going to start off light since i am coming off a weekend of not clean eating and not too much activity, don’t want to burn myself out at the beginning of the week.  that’s all the for now, trying to get through a 2.5 hr class now.  yuck.

a return to normalcy

heading back to school and back to a normal diet.  going with some fish, rice, potatoes and random vegetables/greens throughout the week.  going to up the cardio and try to get all the weights and reps up this week.  gained some fat over the thanksgiving break so i want to work it off and harden up going in to this weekend.  hope that this works out for me.  as for now, its time to write a paper

thanksgiving day….a diet wonder

so today was awesome in terms of eating things that i’m not supposed to eat.  ate lots of turkey, of course along with pineapple upside down cake, mexican rice and mashed potatoes.  probably gained a few pounds today, its ok, its thanksgiving and i don’t eat like this all the time.

worked some legs and biceps today.  don’t know if i will have access to anything besides rubber bands and some random things around the house for working out over the thanksgiving weekend.  good weight, squat and sldl numbers went up and the ez bar curls seem to be getting easier.  good pump.  i’m ready for thanksgiving and some pretty serious eating.  i’ll up the cardio next week, hehe.

upper body day

good workout.  don’t know how i got so much energy but the level of intensity today was pretty amazing.  flat dumbbell bench, overhead dumbbell press, tricep pushdowns, close grip pulldowns and rack deads.  all the lifts were up either in reps or weight.  stoked about the dumbbell flat bench numbers.  got 85 x 19 on rest pausing.  blew last weeks numbers out of the water.  solid workout, tomorrow will be bis and legs.  excited for some squats and sldls.

the day

not too exciting overall.  trying to finish up some projects before thanksgiving.  no working out or cardio for me.  hitting the carbs a little bit harder today with some golden potatoes, yams, white/brown rice mixture and some red potatoes.  eating them throughout the day.  i don’t know how this will affect my workout tomorrow, hopefully it helps with the energy levels and gets the lifts up.  that’s all for now.  trying to slug through a 2.5 hr class.  not the most fun thing in the world
