finishing off the week today with some arms. didn’t use a lot of volume on the workout, only 20 total sets, 10 for bis and 10 for tris. did some straight bb curls, hammer curls, and incline curls along with some skull crushers, rope pushdowns, pushdowns and close grip benching. really nice pump in the arms. left with the bis and tris feeling shot. they still feel a little wasted right now. tomorrow is leg day with chest day after that. i’m working a few more days in a row than usual since i have to get myself on track with the lifting schedule since school is starting up.

another day of legs. tried to hit the hams extra hard today. did some sumo deadlifts for the first time. those worked quite well. also threw in some squats, sldl’s and some hack squats. went pretty heavy and got a really nice pump. tomorrow is bis and tris. hoping to throw some good weight around in that session.

worked some legs yesterday and chest today. trying to get back on track since the day i was supposed to work legs, i was still dizzy and had headaches. did some somewhat heavy squats and some other work on the quads. worked the hams with some sldl as well as some reverse leg extensions. chest day was pretty tough today. had my normal spotter back so i went pretty heavy with the 5 x 5, at least by my standards. also worked with some incline bb presses, cable crosses, dips and decline bb presses, not exactly in that order. the chest had a really nice pump in it now. i guess it’ll be sore tomorrow when i work back.

the dizziness and headaches that i’ve been having as a result of the left hook to the head is finally going away. have been able to workout three times this week. the first two days weren’t at the normal intensity that i like to work at. did some chest, bis and tris on one day, back on the second day and legs today. set a record on squats for myself with 305 for 5. overall happy with the development of the legs in terms of strength. have been going with a 5 x 5 routine for the major lifts (squat, chest, deadlift). it seems to be working and i like it so i think i’ll stick with it for a while. anyways, i’ll get my meals in for today and then do some cooking and such for tomorrow.

i am currently not able to get to a gym right now but am trying to keep the muscles going by using some rubber bands. did an upper body workout tonight. got a good pump. it’s lasting pretty long even without any pump supplements. did use waxy maize after i finished working out. i am going to start incorporating this into my supplement plan. it seems to work well. the taste is like thick water. not too bad, but not delicious either. i’ll take no taste if it works well and does the trick though. as for tomorrow i think i might do some cardio and might do a full body workout, focusing on legs.

tried to add a 5 x 5 routine to the leg workout today and did 5 x 5 for squats. i liked the pump that i got out of this routine. the strength seemed to stay the same and i got a good weight up. took about a min to a min half between each set. don’t know if that is too long. leaving for college today so the workout sched will be a little messed up. i’m not allowed to lift or do physical activity for about a week or so since i got a head injury while boxing. hopefully it’ll clear up pretty quickly and things will be good in a few days.

tried to fit this workout in between jobs so i didn’t get to take the kind of rest between sets that i normally take. did pulldowns, rows, one arm rows, and deadlifts. weight was pretty good. tried to go a little bit heavier with the deads, but the grip wouldn’t cooperate. don’t know how to strengthen my grip. using some straps and gloves already. if you have any ideas about how to strengthen the grip, please let me know. tomorrow is probably an off day with cardio in the morning, kickboxing and jiu jitsu at night.

ran the same type of exercises, but incorporated some of the things that i’ve been seeing on the bb.com video series that have the olympia contestants. tried to squeeze extra hard at the top of the chest movements without locking out the elbows to see if it would give me a better pump and help my chest to grow a little more. i’m pretty desperate to find something to help the chest development since i’ve been stuck at about the same weights for quite a while now. got a good pump out of this. also did some incline close grip presses. those seemed to work pretty well. may put more of them into my routine. tonight is some kickboxing and tomorrow is back day. pretty good stuff. aloha.

changed up the workout that i use for legs. decided to do a little more to hit the quads today since i felt that they were lacking a little bit. added front squats into the routine. didn’t lift too much on them today since it was the first day i was doing them and i had a hard time getting the balance of the bar. didn’t want to crash out. also added some barbell lunges into the rotation to go along with the squats, sldl and seated leg curls. overall the pump in the legs was really nice. could really feel the legs starting to kick when i left the gym. guess i’ll be sore tomorrow. tomorrow is shoulder, bis and tris day. will follow up the workout with some jiu jitsu and will go wakeboarding later in the day. overall pretty exciting stuff. aloha.

i was really looking forward to back day today. i felt a little bit worn down this morning, but thought that i would be able to move some good poundage. did some chins, pulldowns, rows, deads and seated rows. overall a good workout. didn’t move as much as i wanted on deadlifts. got 275 for 4 and then got 285 for 1. after that my grip was shot and i had a hard time hanging onto the weights, esp on one arm rows. anyway, tomorrow is a day off, probably gonna sleep in a little bit and then do some cardio in the morning. most likely will be a peaceful run outside, get some sun and hopefully get a little bit tanner.
