no lifting for me today

off day today.  did some kickboxing today for my cardio.  man, its tiring, didn’t know that it would take so much out of me.  shoulders are still burning a little from it.  might go back to the same place a little later on and do some jiu-jitsu, work on the submissions.  should be fun, i’m looking forward to it.  hope the combo of these two helps me to shred up and get a little more cut/have less fat.  tomorrow i am planning to do some bis and tris and some shoulders (haven’t decided how hard i want to hit them, kickboxing affected them a lot more than i thought it would) , saturday the plan is to hit the legs.

off day tomorrow

off day tomorrow but i plan to do all or some of the following:  go for a run, box/kickbox, do some jiu-jitsu.  i work at a place that allows me to do boxing/kickboxing and jiu jitsu free of charge so i minus well take advantage of it.  the cardio aspects of boxing really appeal to me and seem more fun than running, i might just do a lot of that instead of going for long runs.

back and bis at home

i’m doing my best to get by this week without a gym.  it is quite difficult because i realized that certain things need machines or at least cables for me to be able to work it nicely.  back is one of those.  it was kind of hard for me to deadlift and do some of my other exercises when i only have 55 lb dumbbells at home.  ran some bent over rows using my swiss ball and then tied some of my rubber bands to the railing and did some seated rows.  if anyone knows any other things i can do for back at home then please let me know.  not sure what else i can do with basic things at home.  i don’t even have a bench, only dumbbells and my swiss ball.  for biceps i ran a set of concentration curls along with alternating and hammer curls.  overall a pretty good pump but i feel as though i am only maintaining not gaining muscle with my at home workouts.  looking foward to next week when finals are over and i can get back to a real gym.

gym closed today due to finals at school.  worked chest and tris at home.  gym is closed tomorrow as well so i’ll work back and bis at home as well.  should be ok

morning cardio

did cardio this morning as soon as i woke up.  for the first time in a long time i did not eat breakfast since i wanted to see how cardio on an empty stomach felt. was pretty hard, felt as though i had no energy, i hope it helped though.  might try to do this somemore and see if this helps me shed some fat. the run was good.  running through the neighborhood and taking random turns when i felt like it so i have no clue how far i ran.  tomorrow is a day off, might run some cardio. as for now i am off to the beach.

shoulder/bi/tri

ran these muscle groups today.  focused more on shoulders today since the bis and tris are a little bit tired.  decline skullcrushers and pushdowns for tris, barbell curls and alternating dumbbell curls for biceps.  overall a really nice pump for the arms.  finished off the biceps with a giant set at the end.   that gave the arms an awesome pump.  shoulders were worked with military press, side and rear laterals as well as some front raises.  shoulders seem to be feeling a little stronger and the weights i can move are increasing.  i’m happy about that seeing as though the shoulders felt pretty weak for a while.  i’m done with working out for the week and am taking sat and sun off.  will continue next week starting on monday.  at least for now the four day split is working nicely.  i feel pretty rested for the workouts and like the way that i have more energy for each workout.

leg day

ran some deep squats finishing off with 195 for 12.  hit the hack squats, leg press, leg extensions and leg curls to finish off the workout.  overall a nice workout. felt a good pump in the legs. tomorrow is shoulders, bis, tris.  gotta love the total arm pump.

little tired today so i am taking a break.  not too much to report, ran some cardio yesterday. went pretty well, worked up a good sweat.

back day

the weight room was absolutely boiling today.  i was pretty happy to pull 275 for 6, a pr for myself.  left with a really nice pump in the back and to some extent the biceps after doing some pulldowns, rows, deadlifts.  tomorrow should be leg day, looking forward to that.
