today’s backworkout was pretty crazy. pulled a lot on deadlift as i hit 275 for 4. that’s a record for me. did some reverse barbell rows as well as some pull downs, dumbbell rows and seated rows. left with a nice pump in the back and feeling pretty spent.

today was chest day and i wasn’t expecting major jumps in weight or reps from what i put up last week when i set a pr for myself by pushing out 185 for 8. however, today was extra good. i woke up feeling pretty normal, but once i started hitting the bench the weight just started flying. seemed to move the heavier stuff better than i moved the light stuff. i have no explanation for this. i hit 185 for 9 and then put up 190 for 9 which for me was pretty amazing. also put up some good numbers on incline bench and finished out with some flat flyes and cable crosses along with dips. overall amazing workout. did about 14 min of stationary biking after my workout was done to burn a few more calories.

ran this workout using my normal ds xceed. it was pretty brutal for me. started out with some squats and set a pr for myself by putting out 9 reps at 245. i know some people warm up at weights close to that, but not me. i thought it was a pretty nice accomplishment and a good way to end the week. the stiff legged dead lifts killed my hamstrings. ended the workout with leg presses, extensions and curls. walked out of the gym with a nice pump in the legs. overall a really nice workout. tomorrow is chest day, i’m stoked. hope to throw up some good weight on bench and incline. last time i hit 185 for 8 which was a pr for myself and i’m hoping i can top that with tomorrow’s workout.

Animal pump was amazing today. ran shoulders, bis and tris today. the pump was awesome, even in the shoulders. Got my bicep curls up once again as i hit 105 for 10. thought i set a record for myself that might stand for a little while the other day when i hit 100 for 10. apparently animal pump helped me blast through that one. the military pressing is also going back up after going back down for a little while. hit 145 for 6 which is not that heavy, but for me is a good accomplishment. ran some skullcrushers, cable pushdowns and dips for triceps. overall when i left the gym my arms were pumped out and felt awesome.

hit the back pretty hard today. started off with pulldowns and then moved into bent over rows and deadlifts. set a pr for myself on deadlift as i repped 250 for 5. i know that’s not a lot, but at least for me it is. threw some other rows into my workout and called it a day. overall left the gym pretty spent and exhausted. i’ll run some cardio tomorrow, arms/shoulders on thurs and legs on friday. exiciting week.

basically, a lot of my friends are planning to go into some sort of medical profession and of course are taking the prerequisite medical classes. in the meantime they are learning all sorts of things relating to nutrition and as a result decide to "teach" everyone who doesn’t follow that silly thing called the food pyramid. i am constantly bombarded with comments about how running a high protein diet is unhealthy and how it does "lasting damage" to the body. personally my daily protein intake is about 200-300 grams per day and is made up with chicken, tuna, eggs, fishes, and shakes. does anyone else have this problem and if so what kind of responses do you have to these people?

today was chest/biceps/triceps of my new split. took the entire split off of animalpak.com. its the one that one of the bodybuilders on the site does. animalpak is a money site so i assumed that if one of their guys trains like this and is making gains then so can i. hit chest pretty hard today and threw up 185 for 8. pretty stoked about that. also got some barbell bicep curls into the mix and set a pr for myself with 100 for 10 reps. left the gym with a nice pump in the chest and arms. the giant set of biceps and me and my training partner ran at the end of the workout to pump some extra blood into the arms was pretty ridiculous. went 50, 45, 40, 35 all for 6 reps each. we both left not being able to straighten our arms. they seemed to be locked into position and didn’t want to move.

today was just filled with physical activity. pretty spent right now. woke up at about 930 to lift and had a good session of legs. ate lunch and refueled and went for a 2-3 mile run at about 2. got another meal and some protein shakes in after this and then went to play racquetball at 630. played until about 10 at night. legs are dead and i feel as though i’ve accomplished a lot. hope all of this will help me with my cutting.

just received my tub of met rx ultramyosyn whey. will use this as my everyday protein. currently using dymatize iso100 as my post workout protein due to the high isolate content in it. hopefully met rx works well. am really looking forward to using this product, esp after seeing all the world’s strongest man competitors who use met rx.

hit the bis and tris pretty hard today. the tris were pretty pumped out after a few sets of skull crushers, pushdowns, reverse pushdowns, kickbacks and overhead extensions. hit the bis with ez bar curls, hammer curls, concentration curls and alternating dumbbell curls. left the gym not able to straighten my arm after ending with a giant set of alternating dumbbell curls. the giant set was 50 for 6, 45 for 6, 40 for 6 and 35 for 6. pretty killer, awesome pump.
