Had another good workout today. Started back on my favorite bench routine (at the 270 1 time max level), did a full set of measurements, officially started my competition with my training partner to see who can be the "biggest loser," and took some progress pics - including one which was a comparision with my training partners arms, who I have been comparing myself against for literally decades!
The good news is, that I have been seriously underestimating how large my arms look compared to my TP (training partner). And since I’ve always considered his arms to be anywhere from big to huge - that means I look the same to other folks.
The bad news is, the wicked peak he used to have to his biceps is gone and mine are still flat as well. I’m sure that as we drop the bodyfat the peaks will start to come in. The trick, of course, is to not lose too much muscle or actually gain, as the fat comes off. I just have to keep telling myself that I love cardio (I do love cardio, I do love cardio…).
I’m well back into the routine of using my supplements - using both Cell Mass and NO Xplode by BSN and picked up some new protein powder today as well. I’ll need to stay on top of my water consumption of course, be consistent with my nutrition - doughnuts are not a health food - and stay good with my workouts. I’ll be adding leg training at the Rec Center on days I’m not training upper body at home - this should also speed up the weight loss and increase my mass gains.
All in all, a busy and enjoyable afternoon (at least by my standards haha)!
By the way, for anyone who notices the sudden decrease in my arm size from the other day - I went back to the unflexed measurement to be consistent with so many others here.
