Plateau
I am getting real tired of being stuck on a plateau on my bench press. It seems that all my other workouts are making steady progress but i just cant get my bench going at all. Ive tried varying up supporting lift, varying up bench inclines and declines even chains… Nothing seems to help at all and it is very frustrating since my bench press weight isnt even that much. On a positive side I did dead-lifts a couple days ago for the first time in years and i think i fell back in love with them. Also after looking in the mirror yesterday I was kind of disappointed so I think I need to do a little more cardio.

I don’t bench anymore because of tendonitis in my rotator cuff, but you may want to try more assistance exercises for your triceps. Just a thought good luck on busting this plateau.

Have you tried a week or two of lighter weight with higher reps (in the 20s)? It always seems to help me. Good luck!
