is it all about me?
visit my myspace page and let me know what you think. i have a life outside of bodybuilding, and honestly i think it’s sad if you don’t.
it is hard to manage my friends when i can’t drink, eat at many restaurants, party all night, and wake up at noon, as many of them do. my life is so scheduled it’s hard sometimes to find a place where I fit into their lives. IT’s always ‘oh laura can’t do this anyways’. But I know that true friends will always be there for me.
HOPEFULLY!!

Amen about managing friends. Some people get crazy with this bodybuilding stuff. If you are sacrificing life then you aren’t doing anyone any favors.
I some times feel guilty about having some drinks or eating out with my friends. It’s good to see other people with a healthy perspective!

I agree with you. When my roommate is eating her fruit snacks and kid’s cereals and macaroni and cheese, I feel like such a nerd with my plain chicken, plain veggies, plain everything… LOL. But it’s worth it! Right?!

I have friends like that. It’s fun to go out with them every once in a while but after working so hard on a body like yours (or the one I’m getting to) I just don’t see the point. Plus it costs a lot. I say go out like twice a month with them or else friends don’t call anymore and that REALLY sucks.

You are right, your real friends will understand and be there for you. You will weed out "good time" friends who only want to go out and party. In the process you will probably make some great friends who compete and understand this lifestyle. That is how it has been for me. I have made some truly great friends who do this too, and understand what comes with it:)
