Meal Replacements? I got that!

Today I was talking with my coworker outside and she was slurping down this smoothie that her husband(The trainer) made. I then thought to myself…Why haven’t I been making smoothies? See when I think about smoothies…I think about smoothie King…and I know I probably can’t make those..BUt me being my self tried anyway…a little strawberry daiquiri mix(I know I should not have used it)…a banana.and some ice in the magic bullet?!?!?!?!? VOILA…very nice strawberry banana smoothie…Man I’m hooked already…off to the market tomorrow to get some fruits!!!

Anybody got some recipes I should try?

    Try adding a scoop of protien.

    You probably thought of that but just incase.

    How good is the magic bullet !! best thing eva, grab yourself the large cup & chopping top, go with;

    2 eggs (whole)
    Milk (Low fat 150ml)
    Oats (1 sachet of Uncle Tobies)
    Yogurt (Tablespoon)
    1 Banana (whole)
    vanilla essence (Teaspoon)
    Honey (Tablespoon)
    ice filled to the top aprox 5 cubes for that ice-cream headache feel….

    Happy days it has complex carbs and proteins, traditionally i have this as a breakfast drink with toast etc…

    You’ve never made smoothies?

    For breakfast every morning i do 2 scoops of vanilla whey, half a banana, 1/3 cup of oatmeal, and a few sprinkles of cinnamon. Tastes like banana bread to me! LOL

    For a healthier smoothie. Grab a bag of frozen mixed berries. Just throw those into a blender with a splash of OJ and splenda (if you want it sweeter). Tastes awesome and it’s PURE fruit!

    Peach/Mango/Blueberry — combine to taste.

    When mixed with ice I’ll shave a bit of lemon or lime rind into the drink. To make it a ‘dessert’ I’ll mix it with skim or 2%; whole milk is nasty, try it and see. It can also be mixed with any flavor of protein supplement. Strangely enough, not strawberry because it overpowers the other fruit.
