Bodybuilding.com cheated on their own contest….
Or maybe they didn’t and it’s just me not understanding the rules correctly. So, let me first start off by saying that even though I may not have won the challenge…I could have possibly gotten close. I played by the rules and what did it get me? Nothing! Let me show you instead of telling you.
If you follow this link, you will see that the rules state the following:
Logistics For This Contest:
- All entrants must be 18 years old or older.
- There is a forum thread for this contest.
- If you have multiple accounts here on Bodybuilding.com, only one registration will be accepted.
- Required: Please post your 3-6 photos on your BodySpace profile in the “Progress Photos” section, labeled with “Model Search Entry Photo” (or similar) for easy identification.
- Required: Please also post your video via YouTube on your BodySpace profile in the “Videos Of Me” section, labeled with “Model Search Entry Photo” (or similar) for easy identification. See below for an example.
So, for a few days now as bodyspace announced winners I decided to check profiles. Not looking for goof ups, but just looking at the potential winners. As I looked I couldn’t find which pictures they were submitting for the contest, like I and many others did. Neither did I find videos….I thought something was weird then.
So then I sent the bodyspace admin a question and he sent me a response:

Yes, the people who didn’t follow the rules are out. In fact, all the preliminary rounds are now over, so we have our set of 30 semi-finalists already picked.

Which means also that the voting is over (as of Jan. 2nd), and rounds #4 and 5 are the live rounds in L.A.
Thank you for participating - it was a great contest!
“Why so sensitive?”"When you & another guy are speeding and a cop pulls you over, telling the cop that the other guy was speeding too doesn’t justify you speeding. Not everyone gets pulled over, but you did - it was still breaking the law, and you’re gonna get a ticket. No, Life isn’t fair.”
Please don’t delete my account for this post…and people who may inadvertnely be involved in this…don’t send weird hate messages…you can send hate messages just not over the top.
Peace!

I’m unclear what you’re referring to, since all the guys that won Round 3 all have photos and videos… ??

I saw what you mean. thenaturalone was the only one that had 6 pics and a video specifically for the contest. Others lacked either 6 pics, and nearlly all of them lacked a video specifically for the contest. And it sucks.
Well, I was rootin for ya, and I believe you would have been great for the search. But just like the speeding ticket, life is not fair. Keep them gym etiquette’s coming!
