Corrections to your preconceived thoughts…

dnsigma

Some people are born and bred for the gym…I mean these people live for and live in the gym. There is nothing at all wrong with that because that’s their interest. My interest? Computers, music, socializing, school…as you can see the gym is not mentioned. Over the past few days, I have really been thinking about this pursuit called bodybuilding. As this year comes to a close, I started to think about the comments people have made to me both positive and negative. This, ultimately, made me think about what motivates people to stay in the gym….hence the blog article titled Authoring Your Life . In this blog, I was wondering what people where doing to author their life, despite the negative forces that may occur every once in a while. Despite the notion that I may live in the gym….I really don’t. My aesthetic appearance, which is not great, comes from lots of trial and error and living life as many other people do. So, what am I really saying? I realyl don’t know except to say that lessons are learned in time and the pursuit of happiness is as unique as your soul….so do yo’ thang folks.

Happy liftting!!!

Keeping our fitness priorities in line with our life is something I’ve mused on too. See my Oct 13 blog. I try to keep that in my head.

    Great post today. :)

The art or pusuit of bodybuidling in its natural form barred from the drug and steroid abuse is a beautiful thing. I’m 21 and have already come to realize my genetic potential for a nice looking body and what I could do in the sport, but then comes a career, family, social activities, a wife and there are only 24 hours in a day and i atleast need 6 hours of sleep a night, 8 idealy when going hard in the gym. This is a years sport or artform. Its like being in a cacoon for a really long time look at yourself 5 years ago and your wowed, look at your self day to day for months and your not as impressed with yourself, but other are. Just sticking with it and never letting things get to out of hand will let for a healthier and more fulfilling life. Being smart and not tearing up your joints but making yourself stronger and enjoying the way you look is they key. When I first started it was 6am till noon mon-fri i really lived in the gym. I’m with a woman now who I plan on bewedding and my priorties are shifting and I can see myself putting her first but still maintain my health.

For me, I just want to make this a way of life. Again, screw what other people think…unless its positive, then in that case, Thanks! And for me, I actually now consider this an interest along with bike riding and playing guitar. I feel shitty on days I dont go to the gym. Good blog, dude.
