Iron Man

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

dnsigma

So, as some of you all know I have always aspired to be a model of some sort. Unfortunately, I have never really had the knowledge or the courage to step out and pursue it. So, the other day I saw this link for the IRON MAN BODYSPACE SPOKESMODEL CONTEST? So, I dropped my name in the hat.

I think I may have a good chance since I have really used all aspects of bodyspace over the years, from the forums, weight tracker, progress charts, photos, friends, you name it…I did it. I think I am a good role model for bodyspace? Don’t you? If you think so, vote for me…I promise I won’t let you down…If I don’t win…I still promise not to let you down. Thanks in advance for the votes folks. Happy lifting.

Please stop by and rock the vote for me: DNSIGMA…

Perdon…Gym Etiquette #4

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

dnsigma

Excuse me mam…just because I have my Ipod doesn’t mean that I don’t hear you…at least at this moment. So, mam please don’t say as I walk into the ab workout room "WHY IS EVERYBODY COMING IN HERE?". Well, if you must know…last time I checked this was the open, not private, for you only gym. Secondly, the workout WORKOUT room is down the hall. Since there are only machines in here to do ab work and you are not doing ab work….the more appropriate question is….why are you in here? Oooohhh mam, thanks for telling me that my muscles are glistening and I look good….I guess that makes up for your smart ass comment when I walked in the room!!!!

My gosh…the things people say out loud?!?!?!?! Even I wouldn’t have said anything like that! Even though I was thinking lots in my head…I still didn’t say anything….I just simply upppeeddd the volume on my Ipod until my work out was over. Man….the life of a person who trys to stay healthy!!!

Excuse me sir…I know that this is a gym an all but can you please suppress that strong odor that is coming from you. I only ask because I can smell you in the air and on the bench that you left more than a minute ago!

Man I know some people may be a little musty at the gym or may have just a little funk…but ddaaannngggg with all the technology and deodorants and stuff we got today?? Are you serious? Even though I have the Ipod….I CAN STILL SMELL YOU AND IT MAKES ME WANT TO BARF!!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU SMELL LIKE FECES?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!

People don’t tell me you haven’t experienced rreeeaaallllyy bad smelling people at the gym….isn’t that a health hazard or something?

Man school,gym and work?!?!?!?

So, last night I was sitting in the living room and my wife was like "What’s wrong" I was like I am super sore! and then I was like "Can I get a massage please?". Just another benefit of being married, back in the day…I would get a massage and then get up and do a song and dance for the girl or chick that I asked to give me a massage.

Anyhow, my leg workout has caught up with me so bad that I am almost confined to my seat! Yea it’s a good thing…but hell…I gotta work and requires me to walk around…this is crucial. On top of that back is sore…as in all of it and pecs! I hope all this soreness amounts to something.

So tonight, I have class…woohoooo  social science statistics for 3 hours…after that I have step practice(See videos on the site). Man I die tonight from over exertion…just to let you all know the ride has been a blast! Just kidding…I’m tougher than that! Peace out folks!

Perdon…Gym Etiquette #2

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

dnsigma

Excuse me sir, can you please stop telling your friends LOUDLY in the gym how the set of weights you just benched only 6 of was hard as hell and how you haven’t benched pressed since February and how you didn’t work all the way up to win a bench pressing record for nothing all only after you looked over and began to bench the same thing that I was benching. Sir, you don’t scare me….

These are the reasons why I need my Ipod! This is that 2% I was talking about earlier….

People I am seriously not being funny just saying the things that most of you are probably thinking in the gym.

Glamour queens in the gym…

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

dnsigma

So, this may just be and my own insecurities of some sort coming out. But hey, this is a social networking sight and I can almost say whatever is own my mind…so here it goes.

Because of my lack of experience and maybe some insecurity….

  1. I don’t stare at myself in the mirror as I walk around the gym
  2. or pretend to wipe the sweat off of my face by lifting up the bottom of my shirt and taking time to wipe my face while looking at myself in the mirror
  3. I also don’t flex in front of the mirror while in the gym with my tank top or some made up cut off shirt that does really doesn’t cover up anything since I can see your nipples!
  4. I don’t stand right next to people and stare at them while they lift some heavy weights.
  5. I don’t yell so loud that people can hear me even when I am in the locker room which is down the hall.
  6. I don’t stand in the gym or sit on a machine and talk to people on my cell phone.
  7. Nor do I check it every few minutes to see if someone called me.
  8. I don’t go to the sweat box (AKA Steam room) and then come in the locker room and stare at myself in the mirror and walk around so everyone else can see me.
  9. I don’t change my profile pic every few minutes so that I can stay on the main page and everyone can look at me.

I know…I know…I’m a little to insecure. So, how do I battle this 98 percent of the time. I turn the Ipod on full blast, go to work, and get out as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I sometimes leave my Ipod at home by accident. During this small percentage (2%) I notice things such as the ones above.

No more pity party for me….

Monday, October 20th, 2008

dnsigma

So, I have finally (After all of this time) decided to stop having a pity part for my self. As I have, once again, looked around the bodyspace sight…I see people in magazines and on stage that….well….in so many words (To say it nicely) don’t have the same physique as me. This is not saying that I am competition or magazine material…but I think I a may qualify for something?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I mean some people are on stage and have on so much oil…I wonder if it is a test market for a baby oil company or a bodbyuilding contest annnnddd excuse people…..lot’s of baby oil does not make more abs shows,or more muscle, it just highlights what you have!  So,if you don’t have it….weeelll you may get my point now????

So, anyhow…let me get back to work an plan my attack. If you have any suggestions, as always, I would love to hear them.

How did you get that sponsorship…cuz a brother needs a break?

Friday, October 17th, 2008

dnsigma

I’m pretty sure this a question that most of us, in some form or fashion may ask ourselves. As I peruse the site, I notice people who use all of these supplements and then I look into the forums and see tons of money being spent on all of these supplements. Let me be the first to say that you can’t tell grown people what to do! I personally don’t beleive that a stash of supplements that takes up an entire cabinet in my small home is a good sign?!?!?!?!?

However, I cannot knock the fact that it has helped people attain some tremendous gains. But, in these times when more people are experincing the pain that I have for years, that’s being in a never ending recession. I wonder, how do people get sponsorships?

Do you have to already have like this awesometastic (Meaning looking some awesome…you almost want to taste it.) body?

Having good connections?

Do you need to do some kind of photoshoot? Will a photoshoot help you get some kind of sponsorship????

I mean to bring much of this to a close…where can I get some stuff for free?

Truthfully, that question may never be answered and I have to revert back to my peanut butter, milk and 1 jug of protein I can afford every month or so. Living la vida loca?!?!?! Probably not!

Until next time folks! Happy lifting!

Bodybuilding suckers won’t answer my questions….Yea…I may be talking ab

Monday, October 13th, 2008

dnsigma

So, I know that when people get "famous" on bodyspace…they may become inundated with questions like "what type of ab workout do you do?" or "what are you taking for ____________". So, most of the time…I avoid those people. Not because I don’t admire them…because I truthfully I really do…even if I don’ tell them that. But, because I know they won’t respond or they may send me something very general like "Thanx for the add"…although I may have asked them like a very specific question.

So, here I am…taking a bold step and in saying Bodybuilding suckers won’t answer my questions. I know..I know…people have different uses for this site. But, truthfully it is a social networking site. A place to provide comment, feedback and suggestions on everyone who has the ultimate goal of looking and feeling better. So, am I wrong for questioning those people who simply put up their pictures and change them hourly so that everyone can gawk at them, or have a fanclub list that has about 200 people on them and they just logged in a few minutes ago?!?!?!?! I don’t think so!!!!

But, like anyone in the world. I could be wrong. Whew…that feels much better!!! Now, that I got that off my chest, let me send it out a heart felt thanks to those bodybuilders who have attempted and somtimes thoroughly answered my questions on my quest to quite possible be like you. If I haven’t told you before, I have asked a question…because I admire your work ethic for working out. So, cheers to you and what you stand for.

Besides that…happy lifting people!!!

How do you become massive and defined…

Monday, October 13th, 2008

dnsigma

So, I was trying to find out how people have some very good size on them for their height. For instance, I am 6′0ft and I only weight about 207. But, there are some people who have some very decent weight (about 220 - 240) and have some good defintion.

I WANT SOME!!!!!! Somebody please tell me how…Do I need to stop doing cardio? Find some cheap meals to eat with a bunch of calories? Help please…

Traps are sore…legs are sore…

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

dnsigma

My quest,as you may have seen from my previous blogs, is to get my size up. So, I have been trying this program of lifting heavy then light on alternate weeks. I have also been doing swimming about 20 laps or so about 3 days a week. Man…my legs are still sore from 2 days ago….just now getting up and my traps are sore. Good thing? I hope so! Maybe I will see some change soon!

I’m in the olympics!!! Bodybuilding olympics that is…

Monday, October 6th, 2008

dnsigma

So, every year as I watch the olympics I think about all of the strife that most of the athletes have went through. Then I think back to my goals of being on this "quest" called staying in shape, or as my headline reads "Transformer in training".

For those of who remembers, transformers were awesome!!! They could literally do almost anything. Well, even though I won’t be able to do everything…bodybuilding is one thing I really want to master. So, I have come to the conclusion that I am in training for bodybuilding olympics…who are the competitors????? You and other people I see on this blog.

So, if I ask you a question or make a comment…it’s all because I recognize you as being a good athlete in this common quest that we all share.

Thanks for reading the blog and may the best man, men, or woman win!

Peace out folks and have a good lift.

I wanna win a contest…among other things.

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

dnsigma

So, everyday or so I come to this site to see the usual high profile pics and over to the side I get a surprise of seeing some accomplishers and motivators. Don’t get me wrong, the high profile people are doing some work. But their are some who are absolutely outstanding, at least in my measly opinion. Today, I saw this gentlemen who had all of these pictures of muscletech products from bodybuilding.com. At first, if you have seen previous blogs…I thought this was stupid. But then, I was like why would somebody get so much of the same product, especially and expensive one?

Then I saw that he had won this transformation contest by muscletech. After looking at his pictures, he had some really good natural progression pictures. There was one person on there who was a little suspect?!?!?. But anyhow, they all won….

Man I need to get on the grind…I wanna win a contest like that. Anybody know any contest I can enter?
