What a difference a gym makes!
So, as some of you may know I am back in school for the 3rd and final degree. Because of this, I have decided to use the school gym since it is free. The gym at the school has changed somewhat over the years since I was an undergrad mainly the people….or maybe it’s just me. Right now, I go in the afternoon’s after work and there are tons of youngs there with like a string of cloth on for a shirt and only enough muscle on their body to support their bones! Then there are just other strange random people walking around the gym…hopping on your machine and soon as you take a 30 second rest., sitting on the maching talking on their cell phone for about 20 minutes..just a lot of craziness that I didn’t see at the gym I paid a membership for.
I guess the biggest difference is me….I will need sometime to adjust to the new enviroment of people working out. Until then? I will keep the Ipod going and the pumps flowing!!!!! What a difference a gym makes!

I’m about to show my age with this one but a bunch of friends and I were talking about this very subject. Back in college, all of us actually worse different clothes, trained hard as all hell, and just made it a point to become "one with the iron". Ha ha, I didn’t train with these bastards back in college ( too much of a frail weakling ) but I did train my ass off
Now, when we end up at the gym there are kids on cell phones, hopping around, being a bunch of pansies. These are gyms we pay for that we see this at as well. When we sneak in to the gym at where we went to undergrad at, same thing. One of my main reasons for not working out at the school gym when I went to go get my masters. Too many kids in the way doing 30 sets of bench press and weighing 115.
He he, are you going to adjust to that pansy ass situation of a gym you’re in? Nah, you won’t. You’ll just put the ipod in, sneak in, actually do a workout and sneak out. You’ll get noticed but by the time they get the courage to bother you, you’ll be gone.
The gym does make all the difference in the world though.

Haha, so this is the reason for all the gym etiquette post. Free membership. Actually, I recently went to the gym on my base (free to military) and experienced the same type of stupidness/lazyness. People just in the way, talking all the time, RETARDED form! Dont care to go back unless Im pressed for time like I was that day. I guess when ppl pay for memberships they’re more prone to actually workOUT! Screw that gym, I’ll pay for my membership.
