The Gym and The Gas

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

dnsigma

So, across the country gas is becoming more and more eligible as a category on the loan list at banks. With this in mind, I am thinking of hitting the gym less and spending more time. What’s the conflict? I have been reading that no more than 45min to an hour should be spent in the gym. Should I keep that same time frame? or is it ok to do about 1.5 hours since I will be going only 3 times a week now? Help me out folks.

Bringing back the H.I.T. (Brolic bodybuilders, please take note!)

Monday, April 21st, 2008

dnsigma

So, over the past few weeks I have gotten back on the H.I.T. program. Now, my routines include cardio before every workout. THat is then followed by some heavy weight lifiting at low reps (10 -12). Addtionally, I have finally been able to buy me some protein this week. So…I’m good. My weight has jumped some up to 212.

In other news,

Let me talk about how jealous I am. First, about 2 or 3 years ago. I was in the gym and there was this huge giuy, like almost Ronnie Coleman size, who would do like 5 at the most of anyhting in the gym. He had on this tanktop and some jeans in the gym!!!! Yes I did say jeans. Anyhow, this guy was absolutely ripped. So, I asked dude what kind of training are you doing and how long have you been doing it? He replied for years and I just kinda do a little here and a little there! I’m like okay…thanks!!!

This morning, I see another huge guy who comes in the gym, I mean not like Ronnie Coleman or nothing but he was pretty brolic. Again, he only did like a few curl with some 60lb dumbells, a few sit ups and he was out. Am I crazy or does this less means more really true? Help me out folks

Trying to get that look?

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

dnsigma

So, I did my workout today. Biceps and Triceps. It was good…I was acting like a little girl though because my traps are still huritng from like two days ago!!!!

Anyhow, I think I am having a complex. Some people are in the gym gauking at me, or at least it seems. My first instinct says to question their motives, then think of other things. I’m not exactly sure how I look to most….but I think I have a lot of work to do…you know to get that look!

Some may say, "What is "that look"?". The look is like some of the people that compete in competitions that you would see on musculardevelopment, that’s "The look". So,am I gaining a complex or just super dertermined?

Mr.Supplement Contest

Monday, April 7th, 2008

dnsigma

(11:00AM) First I want to say "GO TIGERS GO!!!", that the University of Memphis Tigers that is, my alma mater. Secondly, I went to the gym this past weekend and achieved the sorenesse that I have been desiring! Man, my leg workout was good…it was actuall about three days ago and my legs are still sore! Yesterday, I did my shoulders and traps and they are killing me right now! So, all is well in that neighborhood.

Now, on to this Mr.Supplement contest. There really should be such because it seems as if most of the people who have an awesome physique has or uses a list of supplements that mimics the length of requirements to create the H-bomb. Now, don’t get me wrong…I don’t think there is anything wrong with supplements. But, I just can muster myself up to take all of that. Lastly, I saw this guy who went from scrawny to huge in a 4 year time. First, I thought that it was amazing. Then I checked out more info on his page and saw that he is using some form of powder and steroids. Then has the nerve to say that natural is the way to go!!! What a hypocrite!!!!!

So, in a few years, let’s just cut out the Mr.Olympia contest and have a Mr.Supplement contest. I am sure that we would have many more participants!

Excuse me bodybuilders…I have a question!!!!

dnsigma

So, my goal is to get to a "medium" size weight and be defined in my physique. Currently, at 205 at 6′0. I am not exactly where I want to be.

I was reading this article that said something to the effect that you won’t really get big unless your body is proportioned. The article was saying that you need to have a big base (legs) in order for your top to grow.

But then I thought about those people who are big on top and small at the bottom. So, how does this happen?

I need some help bodybuilders…what’s your opinon this? Thanks in advance!

40 years: The world is focusing on Memphis

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

dnsigma

What do you think of when you hear Memphis,TN? BBQ, Beale St., Elvis, BB King, Battle on the bluff or those UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS TIGERS BABY!!!! Well, tomorrow the city will commemorate the life of a man…Dr.King. It’s interesting to see how the city reflects on this pivotal moment in the history of many Americans, of all races. It is even more interesting to have talked with the people who were here in the city during this event that change the history of our nation as we know it.

No, this doesn’t have to deal with bodybuilding….then again it really does. The catalyst which provides me with the opportunity to go to 24 hour fitness and lift weights with people of different races, is, in part, because of his teachings. I could go on…but you know where this is going.

So, tomorrow tune your stations to Good Morning America and others as the world focus on my hometown of Memphis,TN.

Peace out people and happy lifitng!

Maybe I should revert back to H.I.T.

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

dnsigma

So, I took a photo of myself today and realized that either I am vain, or I really don’t feel as if I  was at about this time a couple of years ago. What is the difference? H.I.T.! When I was doing the program, it seemed as if my gains were much healthier than now. Then to, it may be that my lifestyle is totally different now. Any recommendations, does anyone do an H.I.T. program with a "Higher than usual" lifestyle? Any suggestions will help.
