An Inspiration indeed…Don Long

(9:31AM) Okay so I am suppose to be working but since bodyspace was not working this morning when I did my workout…I need to type log.

This morning I had the opportunity to read about this bodybuilder named Don Long.  When I say inspirational?!?!?!? I mean every bit of this definition http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/inspirational. I mean wwwooooowwwwww and then look at how great he looks! So, that means I need to get it together!

This morning was Legs day part deux. I am trying to get me a nice set of "wheels" like some other cats on here. I figure that the upper body will come with consistent work and dieting but the legs?????? They are a whole different type of animnal….especially when you have flaky genetics like I seem to have.

(8:08AM) This morning I hit the gym determined to ignite some excitement in my chest. The other day I found out what "muscle memory" was. Apparently this is a process where your body becomes use to your workout routines and does not respond anymore. What does this mean? Change your routine and change it often!!!

 

Today, I was doing some incline and decline bench presses? I was reading somewhere on the site where this could help produce a fuller and rounder chest…and I guess that is what I need?!?!? Anyway, I was on my last set of some supersets on the decline and ran out of gas! So….here I am sitting on the decline and everyone was just going about their bussiness.

So I rest…..then lift…. No hope

So I rest again….then lift again…Once again there was no hope.

Finally, I took a narrower grip, figuring my triceps could help in forcing the bar up…..while straining this huge guy came over and helped me out….."Whew, I sho’ do appreciate it!"

Then he went back to deadlifting the chevrolet suburban weight he had sitting on the bar.

Big guys…there cool. Not that I didn’t think they were at first…just today, they have become a little bit cooler in my book.

Until I write again, be safe in the gym!!!

Oak Trees <= My Legs

So, this subject line is what I hope will come true after my hard work on my legs that I do each week. I think I will up the anty to about two days a week. Today, I did the ever so popular "Squats" and got up to a max up 320lbs for 10 reps on my last set. Todays workout were some supersets that went something like this

Circuit 1

Squats, Leg presses, one leg extensions, leg curls

 Circuit 2

 Seated calf, standing calf, and some kind of front leg workout (I forgot the name)

 Anyhow I was gooooooddd aaannnnddd dtired by the end of my hour working out. Until I write again.Peace.

Working on them Biceps…

So, many people here on bodyspace peruse the sites trying to find "that" person. You know what I mean, the one that has that physique that you desire to acheive through personal hard work. Well, one of the people that I began to look at when I first started lifitng weights in 2005? Was or is a guy by the name of abdominator;check out his profile when you get a chance.

Turns out, he sent me a shout out the other day!!!!! Now, knowing that I was just some random person out in the world of cyberspace, and he sent me a shout….that just made my day. He, just like Jareuba and DieselDru and some others, gave me some more motivation for staying in the gym….isn’t bodyspace just grand????

Workout of the day? Arms and Triceps’

Tommorow? I’ll figure that out in the morning…peace!

Sad Workout of the day…

Because I am an adminstrator in the field of Higher Education, I couldn’t help but to think about the tragic events that transpired this week. Unfortunately, this kind of took over my thoughts while I was working out today. So, what did that mean? A good work out, but could have been better.

 Today was a leg day with some minor swimming this afternoon. I posted a new progress pic, in which I am not a lean as I was before….at least I think!

Now walk it out…

DJ UNK has the song out called "Walk it out" it’s pretty interesting and you should download it if you like silly rap songs. I like to listen to it because it gets me hype while I am walking around it between sets.

Today, I am officially back in the game…yea, as before I got lost from the gym for quite a while. But I’m back in this gym doing by best to make sure the weights get their daily dose of air time.

 Workout for the day? Chest

Workout for tommorrow? LEGS!!!!!
