tweaking the super sets

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

After talking to my trainer we decided to go from 3 sets to 4 sets for my super sets. I started on Tuesday with back and bicep day and Thursday with legs and shoulders today is chest and tricep day and can still feel my lats from Tuesday, strictly going for fatigue and not failure.

cardio version

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Well Wednesday morning I went to the hospital to be "rebooted" so now I am back in rhythm. For some that may not know when you are A-fib your heart rate is erraticly erratic so when they put you back into cardio version your heart is stopped then restarted, I don’t feel a thing, I wonder if the lights dim when they restart you.

Another thing I’d like to say is a lot of people talk about  is the compliments people give them about how good they look or how much weight they’ve lost or I got in this magazine or I was on this TV show, and I am not saying thats bad because those compliments keep your motivation strong.

But a while back I got the ultimate compliment when I was at the cardiologist a while ago and he asked me what I do at the gym, so I go into a verbal diarrhea, you see I also have a Bicuspid aortic valve which means I have 2 leaflets on my valve I should have 3 which can leak with heavy lifting and or calcify and get smaller, now the compliment was he now thinks the valve is not as bad as he once thought and feels that is a direct result of my exercizing and the valve is not calcifying as much as it normally would. This beats any compliment from my trainer and or from any one else, but I’ll take them too.
