I refuse to let it rule my life at least for a few days. Friday some cardio work on bike and elip. if I went any slower I wouldn’t be moving at all. Saturday leg and shoulders I didn’t do any supersets, just straight sets with lower weight and 12-15 reps each, although while doing Db lateral lifts had to sit a bit between sets started to get a little light headed. Today cardio day 30 minutes on treadmill a blistering 2.8 mph heart rate hit 152 once but averaged 117, believe me heart rate is all over the place.

The scale gods were smiling on me today, I have now lost ten pounds since June 8th- am watching what I eat- cranking up the cardio- and of course chocolate milk and whey as soon as my work out is over.
Also tried a new tricep exercise on Sunday DB kickbacks on the stability ball I did it after my supersets but next time I will put in my super set routine the first set placed my feet far a part the last 2 sets I brought my feet in that was the key-really got my heart rate up for just 3 straight sets if forces you to hold your arms out farther to stay clear of the ball.

Today when I was at the gym working on the elip. the manager who is maybe 19 years old came up to me and said he wanted to talk to me in private. A little background on my gym it is a medical facility owned by a husband and wife, he is a eye doc and she is a gp. Now this is a beautiful facility and I mean beautuful, it has a pool which has a marble decor a huge aerobic room all equipment is precor and quantum with a cytospot bench bress all in a rural small town.So I finish we go into this big fancy room, I asked what is this room for he tells me "the board room" by now mommy enters(. oh the manager is their son) He proceeds to tell me he does not like my negativity towards the facility and I have 2 choices curb it or quit as a member. Now I know I can be assertive and that is all I will apologize for. Now I have been a long time member and I have seen a lot of changes for instance they used to have day care use of towels (until the dryer broke) they closed on weekends for a time (they lost a lot of members for that) but reinstated that.
Now the most recent is a scan card for entering and he is there from two till six pm ,the pool is open all day but the aerobic room is locked, his reason is someone will steal all the stab balls and or steps c’mon you’ve got security cameras all over. Oh yes and no one 18 or younger oops lost some members with kids for the pool. Am I not paying membership for the use of the facility? Just like the other day I told him he should get a bosu ball he said they are expensive and that I could by one, hell I have my own tricep rope because there is not one there. Anyway I guess they are mad because I tell other members about gyms that I have been to and other gyms close to them and the trainers that I know very well. He also I think tries to pass him off as one at least I have seen him work with some folks, the give away on that is I never see anyone he works with stretch.
When I quizzed about the bosu mom says when you go to a grocery store they don’t have everything you want I responded with but I don’t pay a membership to the grocry store. Anyway that is a snapshot of today. i WOULD LOVE ANY FEEDBACK ON THIS
SIGNED maybe I am the male appendage

Last few days wo’s were pretty good Tues. was cardio day hit 700 calories burned took me 65 min. Wed. was a back and bi day when doing my SS’s I never do the same routine always mixing it up sometimes you run into a combination that is awesome for biceps it was chest on incline bench DB curls and incline Db curls. Thurs. cardio day 45 min.of HIIT on elip and 15 min. on bike-just a couple short of 700 calories. Friday leg and shoulder day, another awesome shoulder combination was seated sh. press w/curl bar and standing DB press w/palms in, didn’t think I worked legs that hard till I came home to mow hay when I was done-got off tractor and OMG had to walk it off, this morning still feelin’ it, today is cardio day we will get that taken care of.

Hope everyone follows this because I am not good at putting my thoughts down, but first I need to say I love working out and have no intention of quiting, so call me obsessed.
I am cursed because owning a farm and going to the gym has been hard,a lot of jobs are left undone but the important ones do get done I applaud the folks that can juggle a job a family, and their fitness goals. How do you do it? C’mon what things haven’t been done yet or you keep putting off?
I am blessed because of a minor heart attack I found a sport that is good for my health, a healthy "hobby" and a sport that I like to think I am good at, because people ask me a lot of questions at the gym, but believe me I don’t know everything and constantly learning.

SUCKS! You see the owners son runs it maybe 19 years old. So today I suggested that they get a bosu ball. His response was "What for those are expensive nobody would use it, you could buy it" What a jerk off! The place is getting dustier by the day. When I was there Tuesday for cardio (now I don’t know about your gym but most gyms I have been in Tuesday and Thursday are slow) when I was leaving he was sitting in the beverage area watching TV. I said it must be nice to have nothing to do, he said he had his work done, but I was thinking maybe you should be cleaning the tillable soil under the treadmills before I come in here and plant some corn.

But I often wonder when doing my supersets if I challenge myself on the first set after all I want to have enough to get to the last set. My goal is a 12-10-8 rep but even if it ends up 12-8-6 or 12-6-4 I feel as though I have succeeded. The last 2 cardio days I have hit 650 calories burned I will try to hold that then go for 700.
Today was a Back and Bi day it went as follows.
Back:
SS#1 Lat PD w/D handle 110×12x6×4 and Bent over BB rows 145×12x6×4
SS#2 WG assisted chin ups 100×10x6×4 and Seated mid row 120×12x8×4
Finished w/3 straight sets of DB pull overs 50×15, 55×12, 65×8
Biceps:
SS#1 Hammer curls w/rope 50×12x8×6 and Lying cable curls WG 80×8x6×4
SS#2 Drag curls 40×12x8×6 and Incline curls 40×12x8×6
finished w/3 straight sets of Standing cable curls NG 80×10, 85×10, 90×10

I think a lot of times we forget about which muscle we really are strengthening. It’s not the legs, pecs, or biceps it is the Heart. Now I know we can’t see it improving, but every time we lift, jog, or get on the bike, guess what your heart just got a little bit stronger. When I saw my cardiologist last week he informs me my heart is not as bad as they were thinking earlier, so he asks me what I do at the gym, he never asked that the only thing he would say is exercise but no heavy lifting, yeah whatever doc,but I don’t power lift anyway.
Did sumo DB squats on aerobic steps yesterday so I could go deeper, today I felt it will continue doing them that way.
