Making some progress

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Well I bumped up my Incline DB Press from 60 to 70 lbs.  Not a huge raise in weight but significant enough for me to feel it.  I am hoping to keep bumping my weights up on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.  Hoping to complete at least 3 sets of 8.  I am feeling really good..stronger for sure!  Can’t weight to start burning some more fat and see some MUSCLES BULGING!

Getting Stronger

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

I am happy with my lifting progress so far.  The weight is coming off slowly but…coming off.  My clothes are fitting looser…..especially around the SPARE TIRE!  My breathing is not as labored as it used to be!  I am prepping for a 5k RUN ON OCT 28TH.  I would like to lose another 5-10lbs before then.  I am now up to working out with 285 on the squat…..I am going for 300 NEXT WEEK!!  woo hoo.

My daughter is almost 4 weeks old.  She is a major contributor to my motivation.  I will have to post some pics of her and i SOON!

If it aint one thing its another

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

I have managed to stay the course despite the power outages in my area.  Having to eat out for a few days and not having a gym was a killer.  My Baby girl is now 3 weeks old and is such a joy.  My how they change to quickly!  She is the new love of my life.  I can’t wait to get home and love on her after a work.  Anyway, I am getting ready to prep of a 5k COMING UP HALLOWEEN.  I am looking forward to it, it will be my first race since a ran a Marathon in 2003.  Oh how time flys.  I am hoping that the increase in cardio will help with the weight loss.

What a ride!

Monday, September 8th, 2008

It has been and amazing and sad past 10 days for me.  On August 29 I celebrated the birth of my First Child a girl…Breonna Christine.  She is amazing.  She has helped to put my life into a whole new perspective.  What a great responsibilty to have.  I will have to post some pics of here.  Needless to say I have had to skip a few workouts…and finally got back into the Gym today and did a full workout.  FELT GREAT!  On another note I had a good friend pass away on Saturday morning.  He was killed in an auto accident.  He was a Sherrif in Columbus Ohio and was working undercover. It is really sad as he leaves behind a wife that is battling Advance Breast Cancer and does not have much time herself, and a young son (he is 6)I don’t know why I thought he was 8.  It really puts life into perspective.  Enjoy every minute of it while you can.
