3 weeks ahead of schedule, and for multiple sets/reps. My goal was to leg press 20 plates by the end of July. Just back from the gym and crushed it. Started w/ box squats and moved over to leg press. Warmed up w/ a set of 450, 630, 810 went up easy and felt really good, so I hit 3 sets of 10 w/ 900.
I guess you have find the good in every situation….since I injured my arm in late May, I’ve only done 2 light back days and 1 light arm day, leaving me free to work legs twice a week. Last week I only hit leg press twice for two sets each session w/ 450 x 30. I guess it worked. I feel like I could have added another 90# to that last set.
New goal is 1000# by Thanskgiving and a solid 550# squat (back and knees willing).

I’m pretty frustrated these days. In April I had to take a week off from lifting due to nagging shoulder issues….and here I am again, this time due to (what I believe is) tendonitis in both elbos. Rear inside of right arm, upper inside of left arm. It hurts like hell just rotating my left hand. I haven’t lifted since Thursday, it’s killing me…If this doesn’t get better after another 4-5 days of rest, I guess I’m off to the doc. The sad thing is, when I was a giant lard ass, I was never in any pain….

Started taking creatine today. Worked chest, tris and abs. Chest training felt good, but somewhere along the way I tweaked a shoulder (pretty sure it was on Dbell inclines), which limited my tricep dips. On the plus side, I used 5-10 pounds more on all my chest work, not sure if it was creatine related or a mental thing….

I just joined the site today 12.08.08. I started to get back into shape on 11.26.07 at a weight of 380 pounds, as of 11.26.07 I was down to 225lbs. I am noticing seperation in my shoulders, arms, and thighs for the first time in 20years. I still have some fat to drop (mainly in the chest and gut), but am happy w/ my progress.
For the first 6 months I basically ate clean, keeping my carb intake between 30-80g a day. Exercise during the first 6 months was limited to walking/jogging/sprinting (if you could call it that) and lightweight circuits of compound movements. In February I joined a local gym and started lifting ocassionally. In August I felt comfortable enough to begin a more strict 4 day/wk. lifting program. The transformation has been amazing. The weight loss slowed, but my body looks much better.
I will eventually post up some before and during photos.
