Question of etiquette
Monday, August 4th, 2008So I was at the gym this morning, chest day. Started of with flat bench superset with dumbell flyes. And then decided to make them drop sets to failure. Moved on to Incline bench and did the same. Did two working sets of decline on the Smith machine and then had to go to the restroom. There was 180 on the bar with the decline bench in the machine. In the time it took me to pee and come back, 2 guys have moved my cell phone and camera, removed the bench, taken the weight off and were setting up for calf raises. I just went over and collected my stuff. They asked if I had been done, I said no but since they had set everything up for their next exercise they coud go ahead. I am only mildly irritated but I wanted to ask, Do you often at your gym have to break down other peoples weights? Meaning do people just walk away from 225? Second, since I had left a phone, camera, towel, and everything was still set up, am I wrong in thinking that it would appear that I would be right back? and don’t people usually ask "Is someone using this?"
