So lets talk about…….getting RIPPED!

I have plenty of tricks and tips that will get you that lean body just in time for whatever occasion. In such a short amount of time as well. If you have any questions, I would be glad to answer them based on my experiences. You all train HARD and always remember there is someone out there working harder than you to get to their goal! That is MOTIVATION! Good luck! I appreciate all your comments!

Just curious what some of your secrets to getting ripped are. I am about 6 feet tall, 190lbs, pretty decent build. Im actually going on vacation pretty soon and would love to get a little more ripped. any suggestiong? thanks

First, I will start with the dieting…..
No carbohydrates after 6 PM…..THIS IS YOUR MAIN RULE! You need to workout in the morning on an empty stomach, with some caffeine( coffee, thermogenic). There will be no carbs in your stomach when you workout in the morning, since you are not eating them after 6 pm, so your body will start pulling from fat stores to use for energy. That is how I got ripped in such a short amount of time.
Eat 5-6 small meals a day…spaced every 3 hours. This will speed up your metabolism and shrink your stomach at the same time…..keeping your appetite in check.
Eat only complex carbohydrates before 6pm(oatmeal, crown rice, 100% whole wheat bread, anything that has soluble fiber content. Of course you need carbs for energy, but you will take them in moderation….try 120-170 carbs a day and take in 25 grams of fiber a day….but none after 6 PM.
Stick to Lean Protein sources( Skinless Chicken Breast, Salmon, Tilapia, Whey Protein, Egg Whites, Extra lean Hamburger Meat etc….Very LOW FAT!
Stay away from salt. Your body will retain water if you take it in….you want your results and your hard work to show…..10 lbs is water weight, so if you stick with this plan you will drop 10 lbs fast!
Stay away from sugars! Sugar is White Death!..
Now down to The Routines…….Make sure you do cardio 4-6 times a week…preferably, like I said, in the morning on an empty stomach….The caffeine will give you that boost.
I use dumbbelss for my routines…stick to Old School equiptment…so do some research online for the different routines for the various muscle groups.
Good luck my friend! and its about Will-Power! Just remember there is always somebody out there that is busting there ass day in  and day out to get where they want to be. Take Care…and keep in touch! I wanna know how your progression is going.

I usually cycle my carbohydrates just before a competition. I lose about 1-2 lbs. of bodyfat each week when I combine that with my cardio. Here’s a link to my routine:

Just a change in 5 lbs. would have you looking "diesel" (not that you don’t look impressive already). Try it and let me know if you have any questions.

    - Skip :)

does your cardio include swimming / if not what type of training did you include when slimming down

Hello Jeff,  Yes, I do take in Omega 3’s (Salmon, flaxseed, Spaghetti noodles (yes, there are certain ones with Omega 3’s in them)…my bodyfat is low so it provides the necessary lean fats that will give me the energy for my workouts.  I take a multi-vitamin..daily.

well Thanks alot for your help …. I hope it pays off and ill definitely keep you updated .. one last thing though do you use supplements such as flaxeed or fish oil / vitamin C / calcium ext.
    Thanks again for your time

  5. jeff Says:

Doing great Jeff…Thanks. In my opinion, any type of exercise is never useless, especially if it does the trick. Those Isolation moves and pull-ups all contribute to slimming down or gaining muscle…your burning calories. Slimming down all begins with the diet. I think I understood your question appropriatly…….

Heyy !!! .. Its me again ,, how are you doin ? ,, hope everythig’s great ,, so tell me smth .. when slimming down some people think its useless to include isolation moves such as biceps curls and rope pulldowns .. and do pullups instead and soo …
    What do you think ??
    Appreciate your help

  9. David Says:

Thanks for the advice, good stuff. Question: if you don’t eat carbs after six … what do you eat after six? Just a slab of meat?

  10. tleenicurn Says:

I find it difficult to workout in the morning without breakfast. I hit the gym in the mornings for 2 hrs (1 hr cardio & 1 hr weights). I do drink coffee 1st thing in the morning. Do you still suggest hitting the gym for this amount of time without breakfast? My other thought was to walk for 30 mins before breakfast, then breakfast, then 2 hr gym time. What do you think? Thanks :)
