Well this is my first post to my new blog. I am going to try to keep a workout, nutrition, and supplement diary as well as just overall changes I experience as I begin this 2008 transformation year. Actually I began this journey in November…but only found this site in December. I am working on full body workouts Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and doing cardio on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays…which gives me Sundays off. Right now I am using lower weights and higher reps in 2 circuits for each workout session. I am hoping that will prepare my body for higher weights and bring it into better condition. I also have a personal trainer that I am working with at least one session a week to correct form and provide me with new workout ideas. The workouts are exhausting, but after I recover they get me through the day. I am actually finding out that I do better working out first thing in the morning as opposed to evening. My job keeps my work day at about 12 hours and I finish about 8:00 in the evening. IF I want to see my kids and have any time with them I need to do the 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. workouts. I am just hoping that I can keep my motivation up there…that has been a problem in the past. I also hope I can keep my expectations for a 41 year old body realistic…"but one has to dream big don’t they?"

Tomorrow I actually have to do my Monday workout on Sunday due to work scheduling conflicts. So I will post tomorrow evening how it went. I start a new 2 week phase tomorrow that my trainer designed so it will be interesting to see how I feel at the end of this new set of circuits.
