Day 3 of the Zone Diet…
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009I have been trying to get back on track for months now, but seriously lacked the motivation. Meeting someone in St Maarten last month that has so much positive energy and honest feedback ("you’d probably feel better about yourself if you’d shed some of the jiggle… " seems a bit harsh, considering I hadn’t asked for an opinion, but it sure helped!!!) that I got instantly motivated. I have been back at the gym since. Every day. Doing all sorts of stuff. Lots of cardio, lift weights, do some classes, back into power yoga… you name it. And it feels GREAT! It’s a part of my routine again. Just like brushing my teeth. I just want my athlete status back. I came to Holland exactly one year ago as an athlete. I am leaving again (YES YES YES) next month… as an athlete. Not so much by physical means, but definately mentally. That’s a great start I would say. I started the Zone diet last Monday and even though it is tough (I have been kinda hungry) and it takes a lot of calculation, not to mention I am still just putting cups of stuff together to get the right amount of blocks, not keeping in mind what my taste buds might think. I will get into cooking proper meals within the blocks soon. It is nice to have limitations on proportions. I have been on a Clean Diet long enough to love the clean food, and that combined with strict outlines… awesome! So overall.. I feel great, I am seeing some results and I am back on track. Thank God!!!!!
