January 17, 2009

Arms and Abs today…Good workout once I got there…Didn’t really have the energy that I should have had this morning.  Been getting plenty of sleep, maybe to much sleep.  I’m going to have to start dragging my sorry ass out of bed when the alarm goes off rather than playin’ with the snooze button.  Anyway back to the workout bi’s and tri’s felt really good today, strong.  Added weight, doing skull crushers with 80 lbs dumbbell’s and I felt like I could have gone higher.  The good strong arm workout carried right into the abs.  Felt real good kept up a good tempo and really worked those ab muscles deep.

Energy needed

January 16, 2009

Today is the 17th of January for me…I have been training hard for a little over 6 weeks.  I am seeing results and I’m down by 21 lbs. from the 16th of November. I’m feeling good overall but when I’m getting up for my first cardio session at 0430(4:30 am) I don’t feel like I have the energy needed to make through the workout.  I am able to make it and feel good following the workout but it is just that initial getting going that is kicking my butt…I adopted the philosophy of trying not to eat after 1800(6 pm)…But now that my training has increased and my calorie output is almost as high as my input, I am feeling the energy drain…Would a shake about an hour before bed be benificial or would it be detrimental???
