It’s been a while
Ok, I know both of my readers are dying to know what’s going on. I’ve just finished up my periodization scheme and am now starting Bill Starr’s 5×5 program. I’m not sure I’ll stick with it, but there’s just something that I love about the big compound moves. You look like quite the stud deadlifting 300#. OK it’s nothing but dudes there but I feel good inside for doing it!
My wife is still on the verge of delivering. She’s got a doc apt on Friday so we’ll see if that goes anywhere–I hope it does she’s been miserable. We need to get that baby out!!
Diet’s been going good and when the wife delivers she wants to do body 4 life. Can’t wait to get her on board! Maybe she’ll get a BS page too.

Hope everything comes around soon for your wife! Its rough being in a support role like that, too. You’ll both need a little rest time soon enough…
There seem to be a lot of fans of the 5×5 program. Hopefully it’ll treat you as well as it has some other guys I’ve talked to. Its not really my style, but everyone’s different.

My wife is due in late August and is already talking about getting on board as well, which is awesome because it’s good for them, but also a partner to help keep the motivation flowing on both ends.
Thanks for the advice/comment. I used to be a 5k runner, so I plan to be running them again soon - I just have to break into my old patterns and habits.
I’m pretty new to the lifting stuff though, I’ve done it periodically the past several years - but I’ve got a lot to learn about that.
