Back from Vacation

OK, well as expected I didn’t eat that well over Easter break.  But I’m back at it! Ready to kick some butt.  I’m joining the C3 challenge so I’m going to take some before measurements and pics.  I’m sure you can’t wait…lol.  I think I’d like to see some size in the arms and chest (who wouldn’t?) and I want to cut so that I can see my abs with more definition.  This is the last week of my prep workouts in my current periodization program so I’m really going to step it up next week.  Until then I’m just getting ready to kick my butt–sticking to the prep routine I’m doing and good high intensity cardio.

Ran today!

Ran about 2.5 miles in 30 minutes….it was pretty slow but I’m trying to get the speed up steadily.  Also, I’m still undecided on the slow vs. fast to burn body fat debate.  I guess I’ll just try faster for a while and see where that takes me. 

Is anyone doing a college BB tournament bracket??  Best of luck if you are.  Me?  I’m waiting for college football to come back…Ohio State just got Terrel Pryor….yippee in two years from now. 

Week 3 of 4 of Active rest

Didn’t have it in me today.  I did my routine but my heart wasn’t in it.  Thursday is the next resistance w/o.  I’m getting tired of doing the same routine everytime but it still kicks my butt pretty good, though less each time.  Week of 3/31 I start doing new stuff which I’m looking forward to and this is supposed to get you ready for it. 

I ate like crap this weekend, so I hope to make it up this week and plan out a good week end coming up–Easter weekend (holiday *yikes*)….it may not be good for eating clean especially at my wife’s parents–so wish me will power. 

I saw a funny site today www.musclemissions.org ….they seem to think all bodybuilders are satanists.  I found this from the misc forum and the note from the poster was "this is why I left church." I’m a Christian and think these guys are a bunch of nuts.  People spend too much time concerning themselves about the devil….the Bible doesn’t give him a whole lot of ink.  It’s concerned with other things mostly and we should distribute our cares accordingly. 

Well, hasta la vista as I groove on my caffine high.

Periodization week 2 done

Week 2 done, this is still what the creator of the system calls "active rest." So, I have two more weeks to get used to this system and then hit it hard the week of 3/31. 

I had a run today using the interval function on the treadmill.  I was a lot easier than usual.  I feel like I’m getting some endurance going….love it.  Anyway–everyone have a great weekend!!

Day 2 of 10000000

New w/o still going good.  It busted me up.  I’m having my pwo feeing barely able to keep up the fork.  Thank God for carbs.  Anyway not that much new…oh wait I broke a mirror today.  Dropped a DB after a set and it rolled right into the mirror and *smash*  What’s the most embarassing thing you’ve ever done while working out?? 

New Periodization Scheme

I’ve started a new w/o scheme from about.bodybuilding.com.  It’s periodization and it busted my butt today.  It’s a good thing, I’ve been pretty untouched by my last workouts so looking forward to some gains. 

I went to an all you can eat buffet this weekend–the government should ban all of these if they want the US healthcare bills to go down.  The average BMI was pretty high there, I think they even fried the salads.  Anyway that was my cheat meal and I enjoyed it as much as I could.  However my body was screaming at me afterwards, I won’t be back and my next cheat meal will have a little more moderation.
