When I started my journey last September, I weighed 309lbs. I was unable to run at all and I could not complete a single unassisted pull-up. While I am not able to run as long as I would have liked to by now, I was very suprised and pleased when I did one complete unassisted pull-up. I know that some people are saying, "wow, 1 whole pull-up", but that is a huge victory for me and It will only get better. I an down to 240lbs and I will be taking some new photos in the near future. Thanks to all the people that gave me encouragement.

After staying at 245lbs for three weeks, I finally dropped some weight. I was getting discouraged by the lack of movement in the scale, but I kept on doing what I needed to do and finally some weight came off. I am down to 240lbs. I know that scale weight is not a good measure for fitness level, but when you are obese, seeing the numbers go down is a mental victory anyway.

I have been at 245lbs for the last three weeks. I have been doing the same stuff for the last four months, I guess its time to change it up a bit. I did not want to change it while it was working. I have heard alot about this "HIIT" training. I will give it a chance to see what it can do. I will also start riding the bike that I have neglected in the shed. It is cold here, but not too cold to ride. I hope to be able to post lower scores on weight and bodyfat by the end of the month.

Has any one heard anything about a colon cleanse? Some one at work was telling me about all the bad stuff in my colon and that I needed to clean it out. Advice? Recomendations?

I realize that BF % is just a number and it is all about how I feel about my self that counts, but I would like to be able to use my BF % as a tool to help me gage my progress. The problem is that calipers are not very accurate and I cannot find a local place to get hydro tested. Any suggestions?

Despite being injured and not working out for three weeks, I have still managed to make my goal weight of 250 lbs. The date was set for Jan 13th, but I got there a bit early. It is killing me not to go to the gym, but I am starting to feel better and should make my return shortly. I have been pretty strict with my diet, cheating only on Christmas and New Years Eve. I hope every one has a wonderful year - Wayne.
