I ran across this article months ago written by Christian Thibaudeau and I’ve probably read it 10 times. It’s called ‘The Truth About Bulking.’ It’s an interesting approach to bulking that seems smarter.
I did cardio today, which I haven’t done in about 6 months. I did 30 minutes/2.5 miles on the treadmill with no problem at all. I enjoyed it alright but I’ll probably just stick to once a week until my weight plateaus with my diet.

I’m coming up on my 3rd week of cutting weight and it’s been going alright. In two and a half weeks I have lost close to 5 pounds. It’s a little more than I wanted but I can’t complain because it’s been the best calculated cut I have attempted to this day. I’ve been cutting 100-200 calories every 5 or 6 days and it’s been working pretty well. Ive lost about a quarter inch in my arms, which always happens. This week’s workouts started out slow with chest on monday where I lost a few reps, which was a little disappointing. Tuesday to Thursday (today) went pretty well, I was a little stronger this week with my biceps, triceps, shoulders, and back which was pretty good for me being able to continue to get stronger while cutting weight. With that said I’m looking forward to tomorrow working legs and calves.

I finally hit 182lbs two weeks ago which is about what I was aiming for. I just started cutting down for summer, trying to take my time and retain as much muscle as I can. I’m really hoping it doesn’t end up like everytime before where I start getting really defined but mentally I can’t handle how small and weak I begin to feel. I’ve put on some pretty clean mass the past 4 months so I’ll be seeing how things go as I continue to lose weight.
