I got this!!

March 20, 2009

One week straight, back in the gym. I am so proud of myself, and so sore. :-\

I love this feeling though, the feeling of doing something with yourself, the way my body feels when it has been worked really good. It is amazing how in just the one week, all my cravings for the evil peanut M&Ms have gone away. I don’t want to ruin the hard work!! LOL!! I have no desire to eat poorly at all. I am still playing around with how many carbs, and what time of day to cut them off. I figure I need a lot if I am in the gym 3 hours a day, but my overall goal is to loose fat and tone the muscle, so I don’t want too many carbs. Guess we will see what works. :) I am open to suggestions on this. :)

Back In It…

February 23, 2009

I have been slacking hard for the past…. 2 months. Yikes! I am going to end up starting from scratch if I don’t get off my butt and get busy. I started today with 5am cardio, made an excuse of my Ipod not being charged to not go to the gym this evening. I am going to do something here at the house though. Lift upper body I guess… some abs maybe? I just cant seem to get with it!! Motivation is my kryptonite. UGH!

HELP!!!!

September 30, 2008

Okay, the deadline is Halloween, the goal is purely physical. I need visable definition in my arms, a tighter belly and a little lift in my arse. I eat clean, so no worries there. I can cut out the drinking on the weekends.

Cardio - 30 minutes on the eliptical where I do something along the lines of entervals. Each minute I increase the resistance until I can’t take it anymore and I put it back down to something easy for 2 minutes and then work my way back up again.

Since the focus is on my arms, abs, and butt, that is what I do most of my lifting for.

Arms - lift heavy, 3 sets of 20. hand weights, cables, and barbell.

Butt - deadlifts and holding a weighted squat for two minutes 2x

Abs - holding a plank for two minutes 3x

I am doing these switching off upper and lower body. Is this good? Is there something I can do better to reach this goal quicker? I think I also need to up the water intake. Please… suggestions… give me all you got. :)

Go, Fight, Win

September 10, 2008

Welp… back on the wagon… back in the gym, eating clean… getting things back on track. My vacation really threw me off. LOL It is amazing how breaking the routine even for only a week can have such an impact. There have been so many changes these past couple of months… single again… new job… new apartment (so awesome) and working on a new car. My life has been so busy, I love that I have that time in the gym to just focus on myself.

The new job is a sports supplier company and they are doing a company wide fitness program. We all wear pedomiters (sp) and record our steps for the day. I started a month late. I need to be able to catch up and pull ahead to win. I do an hour of cardio 6 days a week… geez… what more can I do? And it seems that we have a couple of runners in the company which adds even more pressure. I need to figure out a way to win this thing. I am not sure what the prize is… but it is more just to prove to myself that I am an athlete. I only wish it was water proof to calculate my stats when I swim…

If you have any suggestions on how I can win this thing… lt me know. :)

My Poor Bum Bum

June 23, 2008

So I have been sick with the worst sinus infection known to man for the past week. I finally drug my arse to the doctor today… only to receive two shots in my bum bum. OUCH! The steroid shot was cake, the antibiotic was some serious pain!! I have only made it to the gym once in the past week. I need to go… but I feel awful. Maybe just some slow walking and some really light lifting…??? Hopefully all the meds will do their thing overnight and I will be 100% tomorrow… :) Here’s hoping…

I never thought it would be possible…

May 28, 2008

I bought a size 4 pair of shorts today. I am so proud of myself. I really never thought I would see the day. I have not even met my goal yet. I can not imagine what is in store for me. I started this journey as a size 14.

I just want to tell anyone out there who thinks single diget clothes are for teenagers, you are wrong. Just stay motivated, consistent and train insane and you will get there. It sounds so cliche, but if I can do it, anyone can…

Bless you all on your jouney to a healthier you.

Take It To Tha Gym!!

May 6, 2008

This is my new motto. I had the most stressful day today. I work in accounting, so two words  - MONTH END. This is enough to drive the most laid back person into hysterics. There is so much going on and so much to keep up with. On top of the disaster that is my cubicle, I received some very disturbing news in my personal life. Something that occupied about 90% of my brain power at the absolutely worst time ever! Needless to say, after my 12 hour day, I TOOK IT TO THA GYM!!! I worked it HARD! I did crazy cardio and then I trained legs. By the time I left, I felt like a whole new woman. So hear me now, whatever issue you have, your boss is a B, your BF is a d*ck, your friend threw you under the bus, the FBI tracked you down looking for those illegal sunflowers seeds that got smuggled across the border - TAKE IT TO THA GYM!!!!

Yay Go Me!!!

April 29, 2008

Okay I have to take a moment to brag on myself. I have moved down ANOTHER size in pants!! I am getting so many compliments now. My arms are looking really good and my legs… pshhhffttt… forget about it… they are awesome! My tummy has flattened out a lot, but there are still no abs to be seen… maybe they are shy… hmmmm I have tried everything I can think to coax them out… but they are pretty darn stubborn. Sal good tho, surely they will make an appearance in good time. I am eating clean and training hard, I figure I will be a completely different person in about 6 months. But as for now, today, I am so proud of myself. I love that I can look in the mirror and see a difference, I can see muscle… all kinds of new dents and cuts are coming in all the time. I just love it. Is it bad to pose in the mirror for 15-20 minutes a night searching for new muscles??? LOL!!!!

King of the Stair Mill

March 16, 2008

I have recently discovered the stair mill… which I love. It is different and I find that it adds a little more variety to my cardio. :)
So Friday while doing my stair mill cardio, some guy got on the machine next to me and started his workout. Nothing was out of the ordinary until this guy turned around, and started walking up the stairs backwards…. WHILE READING A BOOK!!!! Okay I am pretty new at the stair mill, I have only been doing it for a couple of weeks… but I still trip up the stairs… and if I have to open my water… forget about it… I should have fallen off a hundred times…

But this guy… up the stairs backwards while reading a frickin book?!?!?! I am truly in awe of the king of the stair mill…

My hat is off to you sir, I wish I could have seen the title of the book you were reading…

Stupid Abs

March 10, 2008

I am so frustrated with my abs. While I did just begin in December, and I have seen a lot of imporvement in my body, my stomach area is still total jelly belly. I hate this because I am seeing so much improvement in my arms, legs, and back, but nothing in my mid section. I work my abs hard once a week with weights and lightly (100-150 crunches) daily. What can I do to get the ball rolling on this? Summer is rapidly approaching and I have bikinis I need to look good in… UGH!!!

I am starting to see dimples (the good kind) in my arms, legs, and back. I love my legs… The inner thigh needs some more work, but the rest is coming along nicely. I think I can even see a difference in my butt… everyone says that I will be able to track my progress by my clothes, well I have gone from a large to a medium in shirts, but my pants are still pretty much the same because of my waist line not moving much.  If anyone reads this and has some suggestions, please do share. I think I may ask for some advise on the forum as well.
