P90X day 72 Company merger
As is with most company mergers. There are layoffs. Our company merger was approved last Friday. And today came the layoffs. Our CEO, CFO, and a few other exec’s were let go. Along with their assistants. There were a few other lower level people that were let go as well. Some good friends that had been with the company longer than I have. Which is 24 years next month. They all got severence packages. But it was a sad day today at work.
As for my job, it’s safe. Our group will be moving to another floor. Currently we’re on 16th floor. And will be moving to the 14th floor Thursday. On top of that, one guy in our group accepted another position in a different department. Which is good for him. Only good news of the day. So that shuffled us around with our duties. So now I have bigger work load. Which will keep me busy. Very busy…
Core Synergistics - I haven’t done this in a while and it kicked my butt today.

Be glad you have this work out ethic. I had the worst sales month vs budget in my 17 year history with my company and eyes are on me. Im $20m behind budget andi dont have many ideas left… I wanted a drink of rye very badly tonite, but did arms, shoulders and the bike instead. Good luck and watch out for that survivor guilt. Accept the change and be in love with what you do. Best Rob

Glad to hear your job is safe… my fiance works at UBS Investment Bank and they’ve been having layoffs every so often. It’s kind of strange how they do it because you just never see the person again because they escort them out of the building and mail them their stuff.
His job is safe though… in fact, he was just recently put in charge of a new project.

Glad your job is safe Don. I’ve been thru the unemployment ringer 4x in my career, from 1997 to 2003. Ended up changing careers. It’s tough out there.
Great workout amigo.

Glad to hear you stayed away from the rye, hdjedi1.
That’s what they did, Stashie. A person would get a call from HR. And then they were gone. Some did come back to get thier stuff from their desks, accompanied by an HR rep.
If you have to change careers, then that’s what you gotta do. Good for you Al.
