Looks like I’m going to be very busy at work for quite a while to come. Doing the work of two people aint easy. But once I get in my grove of doing things. It should get better. Today I had to go back up to were we used to be, over and over today. The printer I use is still on that floor. And I print a lot. I just didn’t want to take the time to find another printer on the network near where I am. Hopefully they’ll move it soon and it will still have the same address on the network. (I’m sure it will) Next week I have to show the guy that will take my place while I’m on vacation, everything to do. For the first time I’ll actually feel sorry for him.

Today was move day at work. We only moved two floors down. I was really busy all morning. The movers weren’t supposed to move us until 1 pm today. And I hadn’t boxed up all my stuff yet. By the time lunch came around. I was caught up on my work. So I ate my lunch and boxed up the rest of my stuff. There was only five of us left in our area. After a while, I got tired of waiting. I unplugged my monitors and docking station. And moved all my stuff myself. I had all my stuff moved to my new, temporary, cubicle by the time the movers had started moving every on else. Not sure how long we’ll be were we are. Maybe a couple of months. We may move back up 3 floors to 17. Down 2 and up 3. Jeez…..

Today was very stressfull day. Taking over someone elses work on the fly isn’t easy. I didn’t get a good break until 3 this afternoon. I was mentaly worn out. I just didn’t feel like doing Kenpo today. But good thing I had my ipod in my car. So I cranked it up with some good rock-n-roll. Some Nickelback, Cowboy Mouth, Donnie Iris, FooFighters, and finished up with Queen’s ‘Dead on Time’. That one really rocks. Got me back to were I needed to be. So I had a good Kenpo workout.

As is with most company mergers. There are layoffs. Our company merger was approved last Friday. And today came the layoffs. Our CEO, CFO, and a few other exec’s were let go. Along with their assistants. There were a few other lower level people that were let go as well. Some good friends that had been with the company longer than I have. Which is 24 years next month. They all got severence packages. But it was a sad day today at work.
As for my job, it’s safe. Our group will be moving to another floor. Currently we’re on 16th floor. And will be moving to the 14th floor Thursday. On top of that, one guy in our group accepted another position in a different department. Which is good for him. Only good news of the day. So that shuffled us around with our duties. So now I have bigger work load. Which will keep me busy. Very busy…

This is the start of my recovery week. But I took Saturday (cardio) and Sunday (rest/stretch) off. College football all day Saturday. And on Sunday I went with my daughter to an art museum. Then afterwards, we had lunch at a Greek restaurant. That was really good. Nice big serving of lasagna. mmmmmmmmm……
Today, just a little cardio.

All this week during abripper, I’ve been able to get to 40 reps in mason twist. I used to lose it by 30 reps. But with some advise from Marion78. Thanks Marion. I was able to work my way up to 40. Then today, I set my goal to 40 once again. By the time I reached 40, my brain shouted "KEEP GOING". I was teetering on the edge. But I made it to 50. WHOOHOO!!.
Also, I decided to go without the chair assist during chin-ups and pull-ups. Didn’t do quite as many. But I did more than I thought I would. Shoulder held up just fine.

Cold front came through this morning bringing a whole lot of rain. Our street is good for flooding. But the city is trying to correct that. Anyway, by the time I was ready to leave for work, the water had filled the whole street. I didn’t make it very far. Had to back up and return home. So at this point I had a good idea of what I needed to do. Our house had flooded once before. Had 7 inches of water in the house. So I get back in the house. Change my clothes and go into the garage and start clearing a few things out. Good thing I cleaned out the garage a couple months ago. I had 4 cars sitting in the driveway. One of is dead, can’t move. I pulled my daughter’s car in the garage. I had to pull her car forward and back turning the wheel back and forth until I had moved it to the other side of the garage. Then I pulled my car in and then my wifes car up close behind mine. Good thing too. The water came all the way up to the garage door. By that time the rain had stopped. It took a few hours the go down. I didn’t get to work until about 11:30 am. I usually get to work by 6:20 am. But I was able to get some work done while I was at home.

My last silver dollar fish is still among the living. Hopefully it will stay that way. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This is a tough workout. I’m going heavy on the weights. So my forearms get weak the further into the workout. So pull-ups and chin-ups get more difficult. So I use the chair assit a lot in this workout. May take a while before I can go without the chair.

Saturday I went and bought some fish to restock my aquarium. I got six fish. Two rainbow sharks, two clown loaches, and two silver dollars. On Sunday, the rainbows were dead. Monday, the loaches were done. And when I got home from work today, I’m down to the last silver dollar. I got them at Petsmart. And there’s a 14 day warranty. So I’m going back this Saturday and get more fish. These fish I got were very young. So I guess the shock got to them. I had changed out the water. And made sure the ph and ammonia levels were normal. Before I get more fish, I think I’ll clean my canistor filter. That’s the only thing I didn’t do. I really didn’t want to get the fish from PetSmart. But my usual tropical fish store closed. And there isn’t any other store like that one around. So I had to go to PetSmart. May have to get some that are a little older.

This is a tough workout. At least for me it is. The different variations of pushups. Tweaked my shoulder a little in weighted arm circles. So I had to reduce the weight. But all in all it was a good workout.
