For some reason I was pretty amped to train legs today. Maybe it’s because I’ve finally started putting music on my iPhone or because I was feeling strong. Have you ever had those days where you just are just feeling strong? It happens more often than not, but today’s feeling of strong manifested itself into a lot of volume for some reason.

n case you didn’t already know, I don’t plan my workouts ahead of time these days. They just sort of happen. I don’t advocate this method for beginners but I’d hope for those of you lifting for more than a decade that you can at least throw something together based on experience that does the trick.

I have just started doing front squats, and have managed 225. Passed that it’s hard to keep the weight from sliding down off my shoulders.

It takes a lot of upper body strength. Keep at it and the strength will come.
