A Hardcore Non-stimulant 8 Week Cutting Stack

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

I received a request to design a hardcore non-stimulant cutting stack to last over the duration of 8 weeks. This goal of this stack is to keep thyroid levels at a high level, keep testosterone boosted while keeping estrogen low, and to flat out melt fat. I think it will do the trick.

Week 1: 3 Lean Xtreme 2.0*
Day 8-9: 1 Novedex XT**, 3 Lean Xtreme 2.0*+
Day 10-11: 2 Novedex XT**, 3 Lean Xtreme 2.0*+
Day 12-21: 3 Novedex XT**, 3 Lean Xtreme 2.0*+
Day 22-23: 1 Thyrotab*, 3 Novedex XT**, 3 Lean Xtreme 2.0*+
Day 24-25: 2 Thyrotabs*, 3 Novedex XT**, 3 Lean Xtreme 2.0*+
Day: 26-28: 3 Thyotabs*, 3 Novedex XT**, 3 Lean Xtreme 2.0*+
Week 5: 3 Thyrotabs*, 3 Novedex XT**
Week 6: 3 Thyrotabs*, 3 Novedex XT**
Week 7: 2 Thyotabs*, 3 Novedex XT**
Week 8: 1 Thyrotab*, 2 Novedex XT**

Throughout this time I also recommend taking in about 5-10 grams of BCAA’s during your workouts and about 3 grams of creatine monohydrate or some other form per training day. Off days are unnecessary as creatine turnover is much slower.

*Dose spread evenly throughout the day 30 minutes before meals
** Taken Before Bed
+ Subtract one dose on non-workout days

Good Times at the NPC Gold’s New Jersey Classic

Monday, October 29th, 2007
Vanessa was very impressive and this is one of the few contests I can safely say the judging was spot on. The girl she took second to did look amazing and had just a tad bit more size. I’ve been discussing with Vanessa her approach for the Team U next September and how we’ll bring up her hamstrings/glutes, abdominal depth, and back thinckness specifically. Since she’s genetically gifted and very dedicated it won’t be an issue.

If you have ever helped anyone with their prep or the last touches with regards to color, glueing in the suits, etc you know how much goes on behind the scenes. This experience was a lot better than the NY Mets for me all around. The process of coloring, glazing, covering up tatoos, etc went a lot better this time which you can probably tell from the pictures too. Ever wonder wear Vanessa’s tatoos disappeared to?

What truly helped this experience was the fact we had so many friends around to break the tension. Matt and Melissa Cahill from Designer Supplements spend the day with us as did George (gfreidel) and my coworker Robi. I also got to talk to Chuck (njmuscle66) a bit too and hope he enjoys the SizeON. All in all, this made the experience much more enjoyable. A big thanks to all of you.

All in all, I’m very proud of Vanessa placing 2nd out of the 18 girls in her class. The shows in the tri-state area are among some of the hardest in the country so to do well isn’t an easy feat. I’m just truly amazed how far Vanessa has come in the past 15 months regarding our industry. It’s a testament to what dedication and having a great personality can reward you with.

Legal Precendent Set On Bodybuilding.com?

Thursday, October 25th, 2007
As mentioned in my previous entry BodySpace member k3v is in some serious trouble after threatening the life of the President of the United States in the infamous ?misc? section of the forum a few days ago. After the brevity of the situation set in and new developments have included Bodybuilding.com served with a federal subpoena I must say I truly feel bad for all parties involved. Here is the subpoena served to Bodybuilding.com yesterday:

Click to see the full document
In this day and age what you say on the internet can get you in serious trouble no matter if you are right or wrong. I myself had my screen name appear on a federal court docket for defamation and assault for posts I made on the forum regarding a certain supplement company. Even worse, everything I said was true and referenced from mostly Food and Drug Administration records. I wonder if the federal judges in both Idaho and Illinois are aware of this? If they aren’t, and my information is released, they certainly will be with flying colors and then some.

Had I done this while working for my current company there would be some obvious merit to the claims, but they were made when I was just another unaffiliated forum member, albeit a mouthy one. Regardless, this just goes to show you that whether right or wrong, you can be held accountable for just about anything you say, especially when it is print. Fortunately, there are laws in place to protect citizens from frivolous lawsuits filed solely to hurt you in the pocketbook, and not necessarily to find you guilty of criminal intent.

In my case and the current issue with k3v, Bodybuilding.com has acted admirably in defending their customers. Unfortunately, k3v’s defense won’t hold much water because threatening to kill the president is outright moronic and not covered under Anti-SLAPP legislation. Fortunately for me, the case which was filed in Northern Illinois Federal Court is covered under Anti-Slapp legislation.

“A Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (”SLAPP“) was originally defined as a lawsuit involving communications made to influence a governmental action or outcome, which resulted in a civil complaint or counterclaim filed against nongovernment individuals or organizations on a substantive issue of some public interest or social significance. It has been defined more broadly by some to include suits arising from speech in connection with a public issue, This form of litigation is frequently filed by organizations or individuals to intimidate and silence critics or opponents by burdening them with the cost of a legal defense so that they abandon their criticism or opposition. The acronym was coined in the 1980s by University of Denver professors Penelope Canan and George W. Pring.”

Yes, I could state whatever fact I wanted to about this supplement company before I worked in the industry which is what I certainly did. They did put people in the hospital, they did use certain deplorable ingredients in their products, and they certainly didn?t understand the dynamics of forum culture here on Bodybuilding.com. If they did, they would have not named minors, unaffiliated members, members who have won previous class actions lawsuits after getting permanent liver disease from taking their products, and people like me were just concerned citizens at the time in a lawsuit exercising their freedom of speech.

I wonder if a certain lawyer realizes this law has been passed and the fact I was a strong consumer rights activist exercising his freed of speech prior to my recent affiliation? I wonder if he realizes a certain “player” with this company filed bankruptcy and hid assets in order to not pay damages for personal injury in class action lawsuits against the very people they are trying to sue at present? I wonder if that lawyer realizes how far Illinois General Assembly Public Act 095-0506 passed in late August of this year is going to get shoved up his client’s ass for wasting the federal government’s precious time with a SLAPP suit:

I guess the lesson to be learned here is that you as citizens should know the boundaries of your rights with regards to freedom of speech. Everyone here has the right to voice their opinion however, you can be held liable for your actions when it is put into writing or broadcasted for the world to see and hear. Fortunately, there are laws in place which can protect you from insidious entitities who are quick to silence the voice of criticism. However, there is a line drawn when it comes to threatening national security which is certainly going to put a 17 year old forum member in quite a bind.

Fortunately, that same line doesn’t apply to a loud mouth prick like myself speaking truths about one of the truly disgusting organizations which has continuously infected both the federal government’s and public’s opinion of the supplement industry. I believe the truths which were exposed about them are now on the verge of once again being revealed in a federal court of law. This time they won’t be able to declare bankruptcy for the error in their way and escape the wrath of American justice.

Don’t Threaten the President Says the CEO!

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

I don’t know whether to feel bad for Ryan Deluca or to laugh my ass off at this one. Apparently a forum member got flagged for threatening the president on the forums a few days ago. In turn the FBI contacted the Secret Service who then contacted Bodybuilding.com CEO Ryan Deluca with the following:

Quote = Secret Service Agent Jesse Tacogue
My name is Special Agent Jesse Tacogue with the U.S. Secret Service. On 10/19/07, a concerned citizen forwarded a tip to the FBI regarding a presidential threat made in a bodybuilding.com forum, and the FBI in turn notified us. A search of the IP address assigned to bodybuilding.com resolved to Global Systems Consulting in Mountain View, CA, and to Abovenet Communications in White Plains, NY. I was able to make contact with Mr. Rashidi, Global Systems Consulting, and he recommended I send you an email regarding some information we are seeking. We wish to serve a subpoena to your company or to the company who administers your website for user information regarding screen name k3v, the unknown subject who posted the threat. What we would need is the contact information to your legal department or representative to serve the subpoena. Any assistance regarding this request would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, I can be contacted at the below phone numbers.

I thought it was common knowledge not to threaten the president, especially in writing on the world’s most popular message board. Apparently not! This kid is going to have a blast getting interrogated by the Secret Service when he should be dreaming about Sally Anne’s budding breasts in third period Algebra II.
Anyway, Ryan asks that you NOT threaten the president on the forum and I’d like to follow that up with “even if you feel the president is a real douche bag.” As always, this is your tax dollars working for you members of Bodybuilding.com so remember that in November of 2008!

You are getting a hefty dose of ephedrine essentially. The goal is to limit tolerance adaptation of the effects of ephedrine (adrenergenic agonist) and caffeine (adenosine receptor antagonist ) on the various receptors they interact with while keeping fat burning high and lengthening the cycle. This is why I have them cycled inversely to each other with time off bridged with one or the other.

Cytolean, 6-OXO, and Lean Xtreme 2.0 8 Week Cutting Cycle

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

I designed this simple stack for someone who wanted to use legal but effective means of supplementation for  fat burning. The goal of this stack is keep testosterone levels optimal, boost thyroid output, directly and indirectly modulate cortisol, mildly stimulate the CNS, and to give a nice euphoric feeling too.

For any of you out there reading this, if you want me to design an effective stack for your cutting or bulking cycle just shoot me a PM or e-mail (daniel@gasparinutrition.com). I do this free of charge but will post it in my blog for content purposes.

Week 1: 600mg 6-OXO (all before bed), 3 Lean Xtreme 2.0 ( 1 before meals), 4 Cytolean (2-AM, 2-PM split dosing & do not use on off days)

Week 2: 600mg 6-OXO, 4 Lean Xtreme 2.0, 4 Cytolean (do not use on off days)

Week 3: 600mg 6-OXO, 3 Lean Xtreme 2,0, 4 Cytolean (do not use on off days)

The JISSN Releases a New 6-OXO Study

I read it, and from what I can gleen from the study is, basically, that 6oxo does what it purports to do — raise test levels via inhibiting aromatase.

Agreed. I think one thing that will be overlooked in this study is the age range of the group (26.6 +/- 4.9 years). I do feel this study would have certainly had much more dramatic results in an older with possible increases in mass having a linear relationship with increasing age.

Like the Novedex XT study I really would have liked to see the diets of these individuals because as we all know, gains, fat loss, etc are based on diet. My ideal study would include similiar protocols, but would actually include hypercaloric diets relative to maintenance diets with macronutrients adjusted for LBM. The control group would also have the same dietary protocol.

Now I know some are saying, “Wow, 6-OXO doesn’t build muscle” but this isn’t entirely true. While raising free test levels isn’t going to put on a lot of mass if any, as the Novedex XT showed study, it is still best to keep your test levels and your T/E ratio at optimal levels, especially while cutting or going into PCT. 6-OXO does this well. This a huge factor few people realize.

Actually, I am VERY tempted to hand a certain editor his ass on this matter because his recent criticisms regarding this study are unfounded and downright ignorant. A low T/E ratio is not a good physiological state for men, especially bodybuilders. While 6-OXO isn’t a mass builder per se (we all knew this) it will certainly keep your T/E ratio optimal.

As mentioned raising free test certainly isn’t like injecting test as some would like you to think. However, the benefits are certainly there and have been observed. Here is a great study to read on the matter and let me know if any of you have any questions:

I’m not sure, but there is a correlation of higher testosterone to how much you will get laid (in college) and how many women you can string along. I might have to recommend this claim for future marketing in both Halodrol Liquigels and Novedex XT.

If one could translate the correlations between high normal-range test levels and sexual activity from the study you have cited to the supraphysiologically high test levels after the use of aromatase inhibitors, then people who are on ATD should become real sex-monsters. however, many users report rather reduced libido while on ATD.

So, IMHO, supraphysiological test-levels are a different animal than normal test levels and therefore variations of test levels within normal ranges appear to show different effects than variations of test levels which are substantially beyond and above the normal range.

Honestly, I think those that suffer loss of libido are actually taking too much ATD. Now this is highly speculative but if you lower estrogen too much could that an effect on lowering serotonin transporter activity which could have a negative impact on postsynaptic serotonin receptors the same way SSRI’s do? They kill libido as well. I’m curious to hear you thoughts on this.

Creatine Ethyl Ester: How did it rise to the top?

There isn’t a single study study supporting the efficacy of CEE in humans, rats, or the good bros. As a matter of fact, the University of Nebraska applied for a patent and even cited this study:

Creatine Ethyl Ether James D. Mold, Robert C. Gore, Joseph M. Lynch, E. J. Schantz. J. Am. Chem. Soc.; 1955; 77(1); 178-180.

The patent officer reviewing the application then asked why they would use this to support its efficacy when it clearly shows CEE will result in a high amount of creatinine in vivo. The U of Nebraska couldn’t prove its safety and thus the application was denied, but it does look like they are trying again ;) . However, the hype of this hit the supp industry like a tidal wave and thus everyone began marketing it. Talk about one of the biggest scams ever.

It would be unfair just lambast those marketing CEE because those marketing CM were at fault as well. They fed the hype machine of CEE because they didn’t bother to dose CM correctly either. “The World 1# Selling Creatine Product” calls for a 30 gram x 7 day loading period and then 10 gram maintenance dose which is over 3x higher than what is required in the average sized male. This is why we hear about the dreaded bloat etc. If you dose creatine correctly this won’t happen whether you are a responder or not. Talk about BackFireTech.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve used CEE, thaought it was decent, but it took twice amount to give me the same results of CM. PLacebo is a powerful effect which most don’t understand unless they have done a fair amount of clinical research.

Regardless, Uncle Sam might not be too happy about this just like they weren’t with recent FCC fines handed down to Cytodyne, Trimspa, etc for false claims and sinous research claims which clearly break every truth in advertising law in existence. Frankly, I hope they fine the living shit out of of the heavy hitters pimping CEE products with their BS claims.
