I GUESS MY BLOG ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH….

I must say that I’m a little dissappointed to see my blog removed from the “Featured” list on the main BodyBlog page. Granted it does make sense to keep blogs which haven’t been updated in over a month to give proper credit where it’s due. I guess I’m just being a bitch about it and whining EH?

Believe it or not, I don’t work for any supplement company and do on occassion get contacted to test things out. I only agree to a small percentage of the offers I receive and of that small percentage only a handful of supplements ever actually get a nice cited review to ellucidate their efficacy. Whether I do or don’t I am never compensated and truly do this out of an active interest in bodybuilding supplementation. It’s my way of serving our country or at least the bodybuilding.com community.

To me, providing a more structured perspective on great products gives the industry as a whole more of a leg to stand on. Over the past few years it has suffered some serious black eyes with the ephedra class action lawsuits and more recently the prohormone ban. Sadly enough, more and more companies are still provoking FDA sanctions by continually releasing products which are unsafe and even worse just steroid analogues.

The industry as whole needs to focus on making products which have actual peer reviewed evidence to back their efficacy. I know a few companies are taking the proper steps to have their products go through small clinical trials which can be costly to them. However, in the long run this step in the right direction will give the industry the legitimacy it greatly needs and for that I would like to thank EAS, MuscleTech, and Gaspari Nutrition for making these great strides.

Now I realize I’m only one man. My little soapbox here on BodySpace isn’t going to stop the small garage based scam artists or the new shell company from being started to protect larger companies trying to evade FDA suspicions However, I would hope in some ways that argueably the best Body Blog on this site would not be put behind those who don’t even use theirs. Perhaps I’ll change my profile picture to me oiled up and naked with a santa hat covering my johnson like all the other attention whores who contribute NOTHING to BodySpace, the forums, or the community here at large.
