Time! Where did it GO!!!???!!!

Well, today was my back and shoulder day, but with everything else I HAD to do today my workout was short. I increase all my weights today and made good of the time I had. A little workout is better then no workout! After I woke, I actually used my roommate weights and did a few shoulder and back exercise with them too. So I guess today wasn’t too bad, I’m at least working in exercises when I can find the time and not just putting it off anymore!

Increased My Normal Weight

Today was Chest and Arm day at the gym for me. Today however I decided to increase my weight to start really pushing myself. I added 20lbs extra to my benching and completed all 3 sets of 10 reps.  I went from curling 35lbs to 40 lbs per arm and completed the full sets of 10 reps. Today I really felt a burn, could hardly lift my arm in the shower LOL. Felt great!

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Sunday was my day off from the gym, thought I would get some extra sleep in, yeah right. Here in Baghdad, Iraq the temp outside is getting into the +120 degrees, so staying hydrated is important. Since I work nights and sleep during the day, well I sleep when the power to my trailer is on.  I wake up to a puddle of sweat in my pillow and notice the AC is off in my tin can of a trailer. Well the power did finally come back on as the sun was going down . . . finally some sleep again. NOW WHAT!  Machine-gun fire can be heard all around me, what the hell . . . I don’t hear anyone knocking on doors or screaming, I’m going back to sleep. Ok gun fire is getting louder . . . oh yeah. . . Iraqis must have won another soccer game . . . back to sleep.

Nights to Mornings

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

Started working out in the mornings right after getting off of 12hr Nightshift. I was working out after I woke up for about 4 months, I think this is a good change up.  I was getting a little set in my workout and was not seeing any changes at night. I go on R&R soon, so hopefully I can keep up a little bit of my workout will home for 18 days.
