Call me what you want

Today I go to the old gym that I worked at before to pick some things up and lift a little.  Of course I get approached by people that haven’t seen me in a bit and thats fine.  I say hi, how are you, and I move on.  BUT the one thing I don’t like, is that there was a young kid that works there now.  He came up to me, flexing in the mirror, talking like he knew everything, and he could tell I was getting irritated.  I kept putting on my head phones to block everything out.  But then it continued.  When he finally said to me "why do you have to take everything so serious" I replied with a " Because I don’t come to a gym to socialize and I take it serious now get the (you fill in the blank) away from me."  He looked at me like a deer would look in headlights.  Now am I an Ahole?  I don’t think so.  I work really hard to achieve the goals I set ahead of me.  I eat what I’m supposed to and lift the way I know the results will come.  I do take it serious and my focus is 100%.  I don’t think its necessary for someone, especially a young kid, to come up and start talking and flexing like he is the smartest person in the world.  In fact, even if it wasn’t him, I would have reacted the same way.  When someone comes up to me and asks me how I got the way I am I don’t respond by saying I go to a gym and talk.  I respond by saying that I bust my ass and put 100% effort into what I do.  There are no shortcuts and its full dedication.  Now I’m sorry that Im not the average joe and I’m sorry that I don’t sugarcoat anything but this is a true lifestyle that will either make you or break you.  This is a lifestyle for the stongest of the strong and the most self willed people out there.  I am one of them and I try to show that.  Call me what you want, maybe i am an ahole, but the truth is, I’m driven by my successes.  Forgive me for wanting and persuing the best for myself.  Thanks for reading
