Getting Started

February 9, 2007

After two years off, I’m ready to go! I have spent the last week trying to clean up my diet and testing the waters, so to speak. I have always compete when I was a housewife with all the time in the world to plan meals and train. This will be the first time competing as a full-time employee and I’m nervous to see how it will work out. I found that getting the meals in every three hours was difficult to manage. I know that once I’m ready to go, I’ll find the way to manage. As my husband tells me, "when it’s go time, I go full steam. But when it’s offseason, I just can’t seem to get that train to full speed." I’m ready to go. I’m ready to get this off season weight off. I’m ready to have that structure in my life again. I’m ready to go through the psychological and physical transformation. I’m ready to compete!!!

Where do I begin?

December 17, 2006

Bodybuilding is more than a sport to me- it is an art, a passion, a science, and a commitment. I have said I was going to "retire" on numerous occasions and have even tried to replace it with becoming a Triathlete. But in the end, I always go back to my passion, Bodybuilding. I have been training harder than ever for the last year because of a disappointing show appearance in 2005. I took three months off from the gym and got the much needed break to rethink my goals and reestablish what it was about bodybuilding that got me hooked in the first place.

I admit, I am VERY competitive. I have yet to win an overall and I do not think that I will stop until I do. I know that I have potential and I think that is what keeps driving me. I am refocused and I am ready to get back on stage and reclaim the dignity that I lost from my last show. Although I must admit, the bad experience from the last show has been my driving force for the last year and a half. I can’t wait to see if it all pays off.

Welcome!
