Learned a few things this past week….
life goes one whether your their or not. I moved to Texas at the end of May for work, leaving my daughters behind…not as bad as it sounds…one is 19 and at college and one is 17 and finishing up her senior year. Although i was excited about going to see them (youngest was on homecoming court) I had a ton of let downs. Its a terrible feeling knowing that your not missed like you thought you were. I mean my daughters miss me, but they have adjusted to me not being there. My friends….well lets just say….didnt see much of them, not even a good bye from them…..So i have learned that the past is the past and I need to live in the present and as far as the future…BRING IT ON!!! While being away though i managed to get sick and its taken its toll on me. So workouts are a couple of weeks behind now and eating well that is way off!!! All my goals are set for this year and the coming year. I am running a 5k on December 4th in Austin Texas for the ronald mcdonald house…God help me…i am so not a runner…and i need to start training for it, and I plan on competing in 2010!! I know I can accomplish these things….Staying positive is the key and staying focused. as some one said on here…..
LIFE HAPPENS…..NEVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF OR YOUR DREAMS!!!
and I dont plan on letting that happen!!!

Very inspirational blog. Hang in there. Your kids do miss you but kids at that age want to give the image of how independent they are. I was that way at their age. Good luck in your training.

think of it as a positive thing that if they missed you a lot you would have to move back home..they are good and fine the way they are and happy..yes they do miss you. My kids always say they dont miss me when they are away at their dads. i have them parttime. I look at it like they are well adjusted than instead of the negative.
Sorry to hear you have been sick you will do well in the 5k race that is your first goal to starting out the new year right..way to go and congratulations on the new move and looking after you and living in the NOW..
