7 Minute Mile

So I am now able to run a 7 minute mile which is crazy in itself b/c I hate running! ^^ I must admit though after I made that accomplishment I am beginning to like it a lot more. I can contribute all of this as a result from the the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) I’ve been doing this past month.
Something happened to me yesterday that hasn’t happened to me before; I experienced what people call a "cold sweat". I was sweating like a mofo and felt cold. It lasted only 10-15 minutes but it was a trip! I Googled it and they say shortness of breath causes it which is weird b/c I was breathing how I normally do when I run. It also states that it could also be a result from bad joints but I KNOW that’s not the case - I’m having no problems there.

I’m gonna keep an eye on it though. I think I’m going to start wearing my heart monitor when I run too [thumbs up and wink]. ^_^
I’m going to continue focusing on running until I can complete a 5 minute mile. Wish me luck! </end code>

Status - Week 3 of New Routine

So I switched up my routine this month and focused more on abs and cardio. Well, it’s week 3 and so far I’ve gone from 205 down to 197! No change in my eating habits, although I did stop taking Creatine.. hmm.. that may have something to do with it now that I think about it… ^^ anyway - I feel like there really hasn’t been any significant progress made but maybe if I look back over the next few weeks I’ll see some. </end code>

Minor Acheivement…

I’m able to run an 8 minute mile now. I haven’t’ done that in about 3 years! ^.^ [pats self on the back] …. I think I’m going to start focusing on my cardio more this month. I ran for 40 minutes today and did not feel winded at all. I felt like I could have easily gone another 40. Music definitely helps.
