For a while now I’ve been lifting under the assumption that you work the Biceps/Triceps/Chest/Back and the forearms will take care of them selves. It turns out that in my experience this is not to be the case at all. I’ve significantly larger guns than when I started four months ago, but my forearms haven’t changed much at all.
I don’t know where I got the idea that forearms should grow as secondary muscles, but I did. Its mildly frustrating except that now I know, and I can work the muscles now. I think my pretense regarding forearms came from the idea that "focusing on arm muscles is just for ego." Many posters on this site state this. This led me to be a bit self concious to perform forearm work in the gym. As if I fear that such dissenters as on this site lingered around the corner of the locker room waiting to point and laugh at my vain ignorance. Perhaps differnet body types and genetics respond differently to secondary attention, but my forearms arn’t moving unless I ask them to directly. My apologies.
Anyway, I figured I’d post my little revelation in case anyone else was under the same impression. I’ll glady open it up to contradicting experiences of others who think I’m loony. Thanks for reading and please feel free to comment.

So I can see veins comming out from my waist. But you have to look real hard through all the body hair. I decided to shave the torso and see what I looked like clean. Pretty cool lookin really, I’ll post pictures soon.
I’m really enjoying watching the fat shed. My full 6 pack is getting pretty well cut out. Just did abs today and they KILL! If anyone leave a comment, let me know what you think about the whole shaving thing. I’m curious how many people do it of if I’m weird for trying.

I’m at 185 lbs and 15.7% BF and now though I am impressed with my overall physique, it would be quite boaring to stop setting goals, so I’m looking to cut. If I can stay above 178 and get to 9% BF I’d be really excited about that. So I took some photos of my starting position. One relaxed and a few flexed just to get the status quo of the definition lines. I can see the four main abdominals. The lower two are not divided but you can see the outer perimiter when flexed and about an inch of the upper division from either side. You can see clearly the perimiter cut around the whole rectus ab. If I lean just right the adonus belt is very prominent, though there’s not much definition to it. No veins defined on torso at all.
Arms are very defined at the moment (no pics really) most forearm veins and the primary veins up the bicep to the chest are visable when relaxed. Let see how many more I can get to come out:)
The most obvious sign of BF on me is behind the obliques and around the lower back. That’s where my waist line is reaching 33in and could really cut down to 31ish. The back picture is horrible as I haven’t mastered the art of taking a picture with one hand and now view finder. It’ll have to do.
I changed the lighting of all these pics so I can get the current def lines in the image.

I’m looking to get below 10% by my health-o-meter scale (which I think is about 3% high). This should reveal the lower abs real well. I’m looking to get the division between the two lower abs if genetics cooperate.

I can see how guys can get addicted to this stuff. I got up this morning at 6:00 am with the intension of hitting the gym for an hour before work. Upon waking up I really felt the Lord calling me to just sit with him for the morning. It was really good. I did some ab work and pushups here at home afterwards to keep the blood flowing, but going to the gym would have caused me to miss out on some much needed time with my Master.
Anyway, I’ll be back there tomorrow morning I think, God willing.

Well, I can finally see my six pack in a relaxed position. I’m 168 and 14.8% BF. Kinda cool. Everyone is accusing me of being on steroids so much so I am questioning what is really in Animal Stack. Its pretty fun to be complimented on results. Can’t let it get to my head though or else I’ll get obsessed and become a gym rat:( No offense to gym rats but my life demands time outside of the gym much more than in. I guess I’ll just keep it up and see how far I can go.

So, I got a little nautious today. Calling dinosaurs after my work out this morning. I don’t think I ate quite right this morning, probably too much energy suppliments and not enough real food. Now I know. I think I was a little too jacked up on pre-workout stuff and now its all in the toilet:( It is amazing how good you feel once you’re done though:)
For tomorrow I think I’ll eat a little something early and hopefully not get sick.

So for a while now lifting has been out of a need to get off my butt. I sit at a desk all day and winter rolled in so I got a membership at a gym. The thing is the Gym is like a block from my house/home office so I’ve been going there a lot. I noticed that some significant changes are being made in the mirror which is super encouraging. So i found this site and the record-keeping system on it. I figured I’d leverage the free software and see how far I can take this thing till I get bored or tired. Right now motivation is up and I set a goal for about 50 days out. I’m kinda experimenting with the different stuff you can take that allegedly amplifies muscle growth, energy, etc. We’ll see… So I’m committing to June 15th unless God or a girlfriend demands more time in the mean time:) The gym-rat life will be the first thing to go.
If anyone actually reads this I’d be very suprised, but I just want to state publically that while I can see how bodybuilding can get addicting, I’m not looking for a new lifestyle confined to the gym. You can hold me to that. Blessings to those of you who do, who’s passions are lifting, etc. More power to you and may God bless you in that.
