Okay, so I’m on day 2 and feeling a little weak, most likely due to the change in my diet. It’s not like I ate crappy before, but my portions were 3 times bigger than what I’m currently eating.
Is this normal? Does it go away or do I need to tweak my diet a bit and add more carbs?
I’m supposed to keep my training the same for the next two weeks and then once I re-do my body comp, I can make some changes. I definitely need to work on balance. As you can see from my picture, my right shoulder is much higher than my left….weird.

Hello everyone,
This is my first ever competition and I have actually signed up for TWO. I’ll be competing in both the Oregon Ironman and the Bill Pearl High Desert figure competitions in May 09. Today I met with my trainer, Mark who will help me transform my body so that I’m ready for the competition. He gave me some great news; I’ve already got a good start, I just need to increase the number of meals, increase my water consumption and of course keep working hard.
He had me practice a couple poses, which was REALLY hard. He pointed out that my right shoulder/scapula area is much higher than my left, which makes sense because I’m right handed, so we will be working to correct that.
I’m so excited to start, I can’t believe it. Tonight I’m having pizza with my family because I won’t be able to have that for a while. I’m okay with that. After many years having a bad relationship with food, I finally became accepting of my body after I had kids. Don’t get me wrong, I can still pick myself apart if I really look hard, but on those days, I try to stay positive, accept what I can’t change and continue to work on what I can.
I’ll be posting my "starting" picture tomorrow. I’ll be nervous to do this, but it’s the only way to really show my progress. I hope you will come back and follow this blog as I make my transformation. See ya at the gym!
