So, the summer is over and I’m going to try and put 8-10 lbs. on again. I’m going with the HST program that worked for me earlier this year. I don’t know if anyone has tried it but I found it to be awesome for me. I have found over the years that less is more for me. I have done those days of 4 different exercises and 3-4 sets each for chest and that just doesn’t work for me. I would get injured alot and nothing big ever happened. That’s why HST works for me, I do 1 exercise per bodypart and it does wonders for me. I know it doesn’t work for everyone but that’s why we all need to find our own thing. So the moral of this story is you have to find what works for you and the only way to do that is trial and error.

Well, looks like I’m going to take about 9 days off, "strategic deconditioning" (SD). I am learning to listen to my body and actually take a break when I feel run down. After taking a full 7-9 days off I found that my results improved dramatically instead of overtraining. So, will start up again full speed ahead on Monday June 2nd. Cardio 30min. everyday, 45 min. on off days, weights four days per week and 1 day total rest. Can’t wait to see the results of this training and dieting that will no doubt test my patience but at least I know it doesn’t affect my mood so nobody will suffer in the process…..lol. Will be tracking my routines and results daily in the workout tracker and blogs. Like always comments always welcomed good or bad.

Ok I finally posted some new progress pics after putting on 10lbs. in the last few months. I can’t say I’m really impressed with them but I’m not used to looking so smooth as they say. It’s the first time I have actually "bulked up" if you wanna call it that, 10lbs. isn’t that big a deal I guess. Anyhow, it’s a start in my quest to compete, so I’m gonna cut up and see how I look. So, if anyone has comments good or bad feel free, I don’t take it personal. Thx.

Ok, I have been training most of my life and have yet to figure out how looking in the mirror at the gym makes you grow. I have seen sooooo many guys that do a set of bench (male ego booster) and look at themselves in the mirror for the next ten minutes checking out the biceps that they didn’t even train…….LOSERS! Wake up boys, save it for your bathroom mirror, at least that way you don’t look like a loser in public. Sorry if this sounds like anyone out there but, hey it’s true. I am quite sure everyone else in the gym is saying the same thing……LOSER! Anyhow, have a great day!

Just started bulking a few weeks ago and have increased my cal intake. Went from 2000 to 2500 and now the big 3000. Man it’s hard to get all that in but I’m doing it. My workouts have gone very heavy and about 6 reps right now. In the next weeks going to go down to 2-3 reps and full body workouts for a week or so and then shock it back up to 8-12 reps. I’ve put on about 5 lbs. and looking for another 5 lbs. then lean out. In total it will be about 10-12 weeks of heavy training. This is my first real bulking phase, so I’m eager to see the changes. If it works out well, I may consider competing. We’ll see what happens. Anyone with comments good or bad, would love to hear them.

He everyone, been taking Nitrix for about 3 weeks now and posted earlier about headaches and they’re gone now, thanks to some good advice on more H2O. Well, I said earlier that this product seems to give a lot of muscle stamina and strength, and boy does it. It feels as though my muscles never get tired and lactic acid…….non existent. I’ll tell ya this sh*t works great for that anyway. Will post further results on size and strength gains. Happy lifting!

Hey everyone, finished a killer shoulder workout this morn. Damn it was hard, this heavy weight sh*t drains you. Love it though, but feeling a little slugish now. Tomorrow is leg day and I think it’s going to be another draining workout. Oh well, gotta do what ya gotta do!

Took the weekend off to recover and start fresh Monday. Training heavy now for the next few weeks and love it. Might actually consider competing. We’ll see how the results are and decide. If anyone has some pointers or suggestions feel free to help out.
