For the past 3 weeks or so, i’ve been weighing myself everyday, first thing in the morning, after going to the bathroom, butt naked. And i’ve entered all that data into by bodyspace. I was looking at the graph and it roughly shows a gain of 2.5 pounds per week. From what I’ve read, the most muscle a person can gain is 1-2 pounds per week. So, I’m kinda thinking about backing off some of my calories a little. But juuuust a little.
It’s been hard to eat and sleep all the time - not so much fun… I really hope I can keep this up for another month and a half, and that my gains continue. I just wish it were a bit more fun. I can only weigh myself and flex in the mirror so many times in one day before it gets boring. I must say - the comments that I have received from everyone have really been awesome motivators - thanks EVERYONE, and keep em coming if you can. I really appreciate them.
And if anyone has ideas about how to stay excited and pumped up - PLEASE let me know! I’ll be back to share what works!

Been reading a lot about muscle gain for ectomorphs (me) and have heard that ectomorphs benefit from having a higher percentage of their calories come from carbs. This might be a nice change, since its tough relying so heavily on protein for calorie intake. I will still be taking in about 200-300 grams of protein a day, but 400 was really hard to maintain. (Big thanks to my Mom for helping me out with my protein powder!! I wouldn’t be able to get enough in without your help!)
My caloric intake is right around 4000 cals/day - and has been working well for the past 20 days. I’m not measuring out each meal, because that is super annoying - but i eat roughly six 700 calorie meals per day. Later I will write a small post on some of the tricks I use to pack in quality calories into my diet.

Hey All;
I got a little annoyed with keeping my posts to 140 characters - so I started this baby up to better log my achievements, obstacles, and hard work. A little backround. I started seriously gaining weight on May first of 2009. Since then I have gained about 10 pounds. Some of that is probably just food sitting in my guts, but I think a good portion of that weight is muscle. Ive gotten a few comments so far about lookin a little bigger.
What I’ve just come to grips with is that I simply cannot allow myself to go out and party. It just messes everything up for me. The lack of sleep, lack of eating, and the hangover really derails me. I really should have made sure my fridge was stocked up on food last night instead, and gotten a full nights rest, and worked out today. So, from here on out till I reach my goals - no more partying. Gotta be strict, be strong, and the gains will continue to come.
Good luck to everybody else out there working hard
