Pre-Workouts
I decided to write about pre workout drinks this morning because I have been going back and forth with them for a year or so. I have tried several, and it's pretty difficult to find one I like.
The first one I tried was No Explode   It's absolutely awful. It caused me to have heart palpitations, and I don't feel like it gave me much energy. I also couldn't bear the taste. It took a while to finish, but i Had to. 50 bucks, blah.
The next one was NO Shotgun. Ok, this was somehow worse than the above. I actually tried Grape Bubblegum. One morning, I was pretty tired and went about my morning as I drank it before working out. I actually dry heaved. I'm not sure if it worked or not because I would feel gross all morning thinking about it. On this one, I could not finish the container. I gave ther leftovers to my little brother.
The next one I tried was Cellucor's fruit punch pre-workout. The guy @ max muscle talked me into this 65 dollar adventure one night. It was ok. It gave me enough energy. I could stand the taste for a few weeks, then I actually started using it every other day because the fruit punch taste got obnoxious. Defnintely better than the above two, however.
My next pre-workout was Superpump 250 from Gaspari. Again, I opted for the fruit punch flavor. Although this one had a few carbs, I think it's worth it. The taste resembles crystal light, so I don't have awake nightmares about it all morning. It has plenty of caffeine, so i stayed energized throughout my day. I thought this one was my favorite,
Then I tried Superpump Max. I figured I might as well seee what else they have to offer. I got the pink lemonade flavor, and it was awesome. I felt a little more ENERGIZED then when i took the regular 250. Taste is really important to me, though. I would say just as important as quality and performance. I used to be fat; I'm a food person, so sue me. I'm not like some of these guys I see @ the gym who just down pure creatine powder. Yuck! And when I drink Gaspari's flavors, I don't feel like I'm drinking a supplement.
It's important to have a good pre-workout, I think. So there's no reason to be drinking those obnoxious drinks that I suffered through for months. I think the last 2 are the best. Superpump Max probably left me with a bit more energy than 250, and that's good. I just whitened my teeth, so I don't need black coffee all day.
Have you tried Jack 3D. That stuff doesn't work for me after about a week of use. I'ven using controlled labs White Flood. Been using it for a month now and hasn't lost it's effect yet. I got the fruit punch although it taste like lemonade. Taste is better than any of the Jack 3D flavors.
Holly crap i just tried 1MR this morning I would say for sure it was the strongest thing I have ever taken. I would say even stronger then JACK3D which is saying allot . The 1MR I would only recommend to an experienced user of caffeine r over 200 pounds .
Thanks for th einfo. I was actually going to buy some NO Explode tomorrow. It think I'll go for the Superpump Max
I've tried Jack3D and this stuff is great. I only use it once a week because if you use it everyday or every other day it loses it's "effectiveness".
Cycle it once every week or every two weeks and your body should adjust to it nicely.
i will be the grey cloud. those pre-workout drinks are creatine and caffiene and l-arganine. l-arg has been proven NOT to increase NO in the blood stream so forget the pre-workout drink for pump purposes. the caffien you can get MUCH cheaper in a pill form, and the creatine is better to get in the form of buffered creatine, KreAlkalyn. the pre-workout drinks are over-priced hype just like 99% of all supps. with no FDA regulation the supp companies can say whatever they want even though it all BS.
I have not tried jack3d. My friend uses it, and he likes it but says it tastes like cough syrup. I mean, any supplement is just as good as its user allows it to be. I agree that some of the N0 stuff may not be AS important as the companies say that it is. However, I DO find that it gives me a bit of energy.
I also take caffeine in pill form, but I enjoy the drinks as long as they taste good. It's like, they could come out with a protein pill, but I still think I'd rather drink or eat something.
I don't think that it's all hype, however. And I think different forms of creatine may work differently for different people. I personally like the drinks and find that they give me energy that I cannot get from a straight caffeine pill.
Yeah, whatever you do do NOT buy No explode.
I have been using JACK3D for about a month now and I find it is awesome; strangely enough I like the taste (I have found others don't quite enjoy it though). I used the Superpumps didn't get much after the first week.
The new NO-Explode evolution series is pretty good im taking it right now. It actually taste like it says fruit punch. It doesnt give me tons of energy right at first like jack 3D and Superpump 250 did ,but i have had greater workout on it. It last all the way thru a 3 hour workout and then some. I combine it with epozine O2 it goes well together.
I take Vitasport Fuzion K-AKG3 Nitric Oxide & Creatine. I get crazy pump and energy, nice focus and no crash afterwards. You can only get it at nutrishop though like $45 for a tub and I only take 1-11/2 scoop instead of the full 2 scopp serving. I aslo have never felt bloated from the creatine in it.
Behavioral research discloses that individual's relations at performance are just easier, probably mostly simply because some may be considered somewhat more regular and predictable and therefore simpler to alter to versus the sporadic, the somewhat more extreme and much less regular passionate relationship from the community.
