Time to get shreaded!!!!

I just ordered a personalized diet from Mike Davies at The Fitness Factory.  Anyone have experience with him?  Ive been having a hard time with my diet and Im ready to get shreaded.  Who better to consult than a pro?

I have no problem staying on my diet.  Its just that Im not sure Im eating correctly.  I know for sure Im not eating often enough and I am killing myself to eat over 1100 cal a day.  I think I just need it planned out hour by hour for me.

I checked my bodyfat and its 20%!!!  My ultimate goal is to get under 15% by Chirstmas.  Its really hard right now because Im in my last semester and I have clinicals 3 days a week on top of class.  I know...Im whinning, but I need to vent sometimes.

So, Ive been doing cardio 5x a week and training 3.  Im thinking Im going to change my split to 4x a week and increase the cardio to 6.  Heres my plan:

Mon: Legs/abs/30min jog

Tue: back/bi's/ 20min HIIT/40min eliptical

Wed: Chest/tri's/60 min step class

Thu:Shoulders/abs/60 min bodypump class

Fri: 60min bodypump class/60 min step class

Sat: 20 min HIIT/40 min run

Sun: Off

 Any suggestions?

So, I did my first spin class this week.  I have always watched the class through the window at the gym while doing my "traditional" cardio on the treadmill or elliptical.  I have to say it kicked my butt.  And Im really sore today.

We finally made the decision official to move to Tennessee next summer.  So, we put the house on the market and we're moving into one of our rental houses that just lost the tennant.  Lots of painting and cleaning lately.

Diet is going great.  Ive been staying around 1300 cal / day and 50/30/20.  I increase the carbs on training days.  Ive been doing a lot of HIIT and cardio kickboxing classes for cardio.  I enjoy classes more than cardio alone because it keeps my attention.  I think I have ADD because I get really bored easily. 

Finals this week at school, so I have to go to the gym really early (4:30am).  Ill let you know how that goes :)

Holy cow is it raining outside.  There is supposed to be a tropical storm, but its more like a monsoon.  Not too much wind, just tons of rain.  My pool was low yesterday and it is overflowing as we speak. 

I just finished 20min of HIIT and 35min on the elipitcal.  Im not using a trainer anymore, so I can go to the gym at my leisure.  Nice...

Im going to try to make it to body pump today and get in a quick back and bi workout after.  Depends on how the class goes.

So, I tried a 2 hour mix class this week.  It was bodypump for 30 min, bodystep for 30 min, zumba for 30 min, and bodyflow (yoga) for 30 min.  It was great.  I would do that 2 or 3 times a week if they offered it.  Zumba was really fun and Kept my heart rate up more than I expected.  It was too funny.  The class was full; at least 55 people in there and a lot of older people.  I had a blast watching everyone shake their butts.  There was a really old lady in front of me and I had a hard time keeping up with her.  Gotta love that.  I guess b/c I live in Florida, I see a lot of really healthy elderly at my gym.  Its inspirational:)

Anyway, my diet is going great.  I had a cheat day last night.  Its been 3 weeks since Ive cheated, and I worked really hard yesterday, so we had Olive Garden.  Yummy.  I know I shouldnt have my cheat meal so late, but Ill be fine.

School has been really stressful this week.  I had really heavy patients at clinical and worked my butt off.  One of my pts was a 32 yo homeless guy addicted to Oxycontin.  He pulled his lines out and eloped.  I had to call security and do a ton of paperwork.  That sucked.  I love nursing school :)

Well...Kidneys are functioning okay.  Lupus is a systemic disease where your body decides it doesnt like itself anymore, so I have some infection symptoms, but other than that, Im doing good.  My Rheumatologist thinks its mostly due to the stress of nursing school.  Go figure :)

Anyway...diet is fine.  I did 45 min on the elliptical yesterday and come MMA stuff with my trainer yesterday afternoon.  Then we stretched for like 20 min.  I weighed myself and I am back down to 150.  Still not where I used to be, but better than 170 (where I was after the Prednisone and pregnancy)

Im 145 in my pics, so Im close to feeling like myself again.  Im starting to see the definition in my shoulders and abs again, those are my faves!!!

I know...Im wierd :)

This has been a really stressful week.  2 tests and a clinical practical test all in 4 days!!!  Its over now though.  I have Lupus, and stress really wears on my body.  I have had a hard time eating enough food this week.  Ive been drinking a lot of protein to get in enough calories. 

Yesterday I had 3 Eggwhites and half a plain wheat bagel for breakfast; multi vitamin, fish oil, and chromium.

meal 2 was a shake with water (at the hospital)

meal 3 was 5 oz baked turkey breast and 1 c broccoili from the cafe and a ton of water

meal 4 was a shake with water and a handful of almonds

then I crashed when I got home and slept all night...

No school today!  Yeah.  Im getting ready to take my little one to school and them Im off to the gym to do some cardio.  I am working out with my trainer tonight. 

I have a doctors apt at 2 to see how my kidneys are doing and if I am going to have to get back on the prednisone.  That really stinks :(

Anyway...Ill let ya know how that goes

Getting ready to sneak out the door to a bodypump class without waking the family.  I worked out with my trainer yesterday and Im a little sore, but not too bad.  Just my shoulders.  Diet is going well.  I have been adding more whole food instead of pp, and its been really hard.  I have only been able to get in 5 meals.  I think with time, Ill stretch it to 6, but I think Im doing good with 5 right now.  lbs are still coming off slowly, and I think its fat and water.  I feel really tight.  I havent been able to check my bf yet and Im actually a little scared to :)  Im going to wait until 12 weeks to do it.  Today is officially 6 weeks!!! Yay!!  I made it to 6 weeks :)  My girlfriends had an extra ticket to the Christina Agiulara concert last night and I had to pass because I knew I would end up drinking and cheat.  Im so proud of myself.

Anyway, Im off to the gym for the torture...

Ahhhhh!  Back to clinicals today.  I am so stressed out I could scream.  I just got home from the hospital and I have a ton of studying to do before tomorrows clinicals at 6am and my daughter is getting an award at school, so I cant go to the gym.  I had no idea!  Im happy for her and really excited, but I needed to workout.  So...I guess today is going to be my day off instead of Sunday.

I have been eating perfect.  Worked out with my trainer yesterday and felt great.  I just wish I could see progress faster.  I am seeing more definition in my arms though.  Im going to check my weight and bodyfat on Saturday.

Gotta go read a few chapters before the family gets home and then its off to the school to see what my little scholar is getting awarded for! :)

So....

I worked out with my trainer yesterday.  It went great.  He competes in MMA and is teaching me some fighting skills (yeah man!).  I felt really strong.  I started adding NO-Xplode drinks yesterday before my workout and so far so good.  I did 30 min of am fasted cardio on the eliptical and 30 min of HIIT on the treadmill in the pm.  I havent weighed myself because my hubby hid the scale on me.  Im going to check my wt next week, as it will be 6 weeks eating clean and training right.

I ate perfect yesterday, except I only got in 1201 cal.  It was 50/30/20.  I just dont like going to bed really full. 

I slept in a little this morning, so Im probably going to be around the same for calories today.  I have class again on Monday (spring break), so Ill be up at 4:30 again and able to get in am cardio and 6 meals instead of 5.

Just got home from the beach with the family and Im gonna hit the gym in a bit.  Planning on doing back and bi's...wish me luck :)

Danish's first blog ever...

Ok, Im a dork.  I read everyones journals, but never post.  I have decided to start a blog to make myself accountable.  So here goes...

I am 28 years old, currently in nursing school, and a married mother of 2.  I used to be in great shape and did some modeling.  I was never concerned with my figure because it came easily.  I did cardio about 3 days a week and never lifted weights.  Then life happened.  I got married and had 2 children.  With my second pregnancy I was 204lbs the day of delivery.  Yikes, just saying that makes me wanna barf.  Anyway, I have gotten down do 158 and counting.  I am 5'6" and pretty good genetics as far as muscle tone goes.  I can add muscle easily, but fat too :(  I started dieting about 5 weeks ago and have eaten perfect every day. 

Heres my diet:

meal 1: 4 egg whites and Kashi almond/flaxseed granola bar (multi vitamin, chromium, and fish oil)

meal 2: 3/4 scoop whey protein & 1 tbsp natural pb

meal 3: 5 oz grilled chicken and sweet potato

meal 4: post workout usually - 1 scoop whey protein

meal 5: 6 oz grilled chicken, 1 cup broccoli, 1/2 c brown rice

meal 6: (if not too late) 1/2 c ff cottage cheese with 2 oz blueberries

I am forcing myself to get 5 or 6 meals in because I am used to only eating 2 meals a day.  I am doing cardio at 6 or 7 days a week.  I switch back and forth from 45min on the eliptical and 30min hiit on the treadmill with an additional 15 min uphill walk.  I love to do cardio, so this isnt a problem.  I could probably do 2 hours if I thought it would do me good.

my workouts are spiratic.  I am working with a pilates trainer 2 days a week.  He's cool, but not what I expected.  I am doing some circuit training with him as well as kickboxing.  On the off days (2 or 3) I will train at the gym.  I dont really have a split so if anyone can suggest a good training split for 3 days, please let me know.  I love to do the bodypump classes when I can make it on time.  When I workout, I try to do 3 exercises per muscle and 3 sets each of 12-15.  Im not sure if what Im doing is right, but I am loosing weight.

Im planning on posting every day and updating my diet and workout and I would love ANY advice and tips yall have!
