Doritos, Fritos, and God only knows what else…
SSDD. Today is my dad’s birthday and he was the only one not piling on. Let’s forget that I’ve already turned down the bean dip, guacamole mix, and beer. Let’s forget I mentioned I had already eaten. "You can make a plate for me if you want but I won’t eat it." "Thank you for the plate but I’m not eating it." After 10 minutes you still haven’t changed my mind and now I’m getting p!ssed. I’ve had enough: "Why is there so much social pressure to eat crap? It’s not rude to turn down food. I’m not eating" And that was the end of that.
For all of those food pushers out there here’s a word of advice: No means NO!

C’mon it’s your fathers birthday. I guess, I am not hardcore enough. I would have had a few.

I will admit I had about 2 oz of tenderloin… just a few bites. It was a good time… only a few tense moments, LOL.

If someone’s got steak on the menu, they can push all they want. I will make that exception.
It’s hard for me to say no when my dad asks if I want a beer the three or four times a year I get to see him. Very hard.
For the rest of them, if they don’t get it, f*ck ‘em. You get where you want to be and they’ll come asking for tips on diet and exercise. That DOES make all the bullsh!t worth it.
Keep it up.
