Taking it easy thanks to the weather. . .
Monday, March 31st, 2008I have declared the past few days as mental health days. Friday I did a really lazy chest workout, with a five machine leg pre-exhaust for my Saturday leg workout. Amazingly I managed to cook most of the weekend so the fruits, veggies, and protein were very clean. Today is my last mental health day so I started the day really motivated with a good back and bicep workout this morning. Since I took a day off I thought it would be good to do some dribbling, juggling, and shooting working my left foot. My right knee has been giving me much discomfort lately with the weather changes. I haven’t been able to even launch a shot or chip with my right. I thinking it might be time to have it looked at and probably cleaned out!
Anyway their is nothing more depressing in the morning than sharing the gym with 20 some retirees who all get up before the sun and walk on the mills. I wish one of them would at least ask for something besides local news, Fox News and CNN and SportsCenter on the 6 tv’s. My MP3 can only make me want to do cardio in the morning so often. Especially when I have plans to run around with my team later when I’m coaching. Soccer season is here in PA. Thanks to all the rain, snow and freezing temperatures, I’ve decided to take it easy, write this blog and have an indoor shortened practice for the kids since the fields aren’t quite ready for their cleats.
